I got my solars in March.

I got my solars in March. Bit of misunderstanding at 1st, as electricians came before installers. 3 days later all was installed & running, and now 10 wks later I'm reaping the rewards. Thank you 👍

Solar Panels by LMF

Got Installation of Solar Panels Via Grant and LMF techs arrived prompt and installed all in one day. Cleaned up all the mess and explained everything. We’re very friendly and did not distrupt our daily routine either. They put everything exactly where we wanted and explained if there were any issues. Highly recommend service from LMF and the techs they use. Also recommended to family and friends who all had a great experience too. Well done and thanks again for the great service. Yoonus Surty

Quick at installation but was botched…

Quick at installation but was botched and LMF were slow to remediate. 1. PV Panels Un-earthed. The panel installers failed to provide an earthing cable and as a consequence their electrician was unable to complete the work. The panels are live with no means of earthing and are therefore an electrical hazard. 2. The electricians were in such a rush to complete the work, a hole was punched through the ceiling in error. At the time, I was told the work would be completed within a matter of days. Still no progress despite repeated contacted with the LMF's Birkenhead Office. The final invoice remains unpaid and will not be paid until the installation is completed and repairs are undertaken. Failing that, the matter will be referred to Worcestershire Regulatory Services (trading standards) for investigation into poor electrical installation.

Sales push doesn't inspire confidence in work quality

Dislikes: 1) They seem to be a sales organisation with no technical staff. They told me they have permanent staff but the surveyor turned out to be a contractor. (We had a bad experience with Prime Stairlifts who were a similar sales front and we only found out after we kept getting different contractors coming to do the work after we had paid a deposit. (The contractors just want to be in and out and get paid they have little incentive to do an excellent job.) LMF don't seem to remember they have already called and i got calls from different people whom I had to inform their colleagues have already rung about this. 2) They are not forthcoming with information and keep pushing to get the installation started despite being told multiple times that I want to see the specs of the installation to decide whether it is worth the risk to have the installation done. When I finally got them to email me the specs they sent a huge number of documents - I opened one at random to see that they have noted I have a 'concrete' roof - which is not true, it is stone tiles, so it doesn't give me confidence that they are doing a good job. Once they have installed the panels and disappear I will have to live underneath it and it will be very difficult to get anything done to fix any problems especially given LMF are over in merseyside and not local. Overall I get the impression that they are in a hurry to get the job done and disappear to get funds off the government and then get on with someone else's place. I think there is something wrong with the incentives setup by these ECO schemes, and I worry that shortcuts will be taken that I will only find out much later (the work is only guaranteed for 2 years on a property that has been around over a century iirc..). Currently I am not at all keen to proceed but I will try to read through the remaining docs before I make the decision. Like: They tried to answer questions on phone initially and rebooked the survey when first surveyor was unable to arrive on time.

I’m really not sure if this is a…

I’m really not sure if this is a genuine company. They have surveyed my property with a view to installing solar panels under the Gov Grant Scheme. But since undertaking the survey, and being told we qualify, we are yet to receive an installation date. I also emailed questions about what they actually install etc and still no reply. This is despite also contacting their MD. It would appear many people in my area are experiencing similar encounters with these types of Companies. I’m starting to suspect they get paid by the Gov for every survey they do. I shall be writing to my MP to make him aware of what appears to be a scam.
