This site was a huge improvement

This site was a huge improvement over some of the other CEU sites for Social work license renewal for these reasons: Some of the courses had a more contemporary-au courant quality -of the times. ex Racial issues, popular treatment modalities, topics we all should know more about, (human trafficking, etc.) The style and feel of the courses was reinforced by carefully selected teachers. Younger, but not in all cases, teachers, made the way the information was delivered also easier to grasp. I do want to add that some of the very experienced little older teachers were worth my time. Loved the NASW expert on ethics etc. I think exploring ethics is vital and would like to hear more of that. A deeper dive into some of the treatment modalities as well as examples of cases treated differently, might also help. When the teachers gave information that they personally worked with in the field, and had known and used for some time, the experience for me was rich. Each personal example the teachers gave, allowed me to inhale the topic much more. Language, video, closed caption, and those lectures that included bullet points to follow, made this learning easy and enjoyable. When it didn't go as well, my complaints were that the teacher didn't articulate their words well, so I couldn't understand and spoke too fast. Thank goodness for CC! Or the material itself was boring. But, I did appreciate when the teachers were natural-themselves. Too much formality makes learning more difficult. One other tweak I'd suggest is around the hot topics of increasing practitioners racially sensitive awareness. It needs to be paired with a little more balance when pointing out historical bias and current insensitivity by some. These things must be aired and learned. Entitlements born on the shoulders of the oppressed are ancient negative human behaviors done by every ethnic group. Lumping/generalizing all into the bias camp, felt both untrue and too angry. We are all learning and growing, hopefully. Mainly those in this profession want to bring more kindness and compassion to the world. Much as I usually dread doing these courses, this time I can say I was relieved because I learned and you made it easy to do that. I hope two years from now there are many new interesting offerings.

User-friendly

User-friendly, technology wise, and a very good value for courses that were educational and insightful. I just renewed my license, again, and got a lot of my hours from this good resource.
