Following thorough eye testing and scans Mr Sid Goel confirmed my Cateracts where quite advanced and surgery under local anesthetic would correct this. I was completely reassured with his explanation and treatment requirements leading to my feeling more comfortable with the idea of surgery. However, on the day of surgery I had become quite anxious and seriously considered if I should proceed as at 91 years old - did I really need to do this?. As soon as I was in the care of Mr Goel and his team at the Hesslewood Clinic I felt safe. I was never left alone and conversations where pleasant and engaging - I felt I mattered putting me at ease. I felt no discomfort during or after surgery, although very tired a good night's sleep followed. Both myself and Mr Goel where amazed with the clarity and definition of my restored vision - I'm very happy with the kind, sensitive and professional approach from all involved with my treatment and care - thank you - Maria.

I have received excellent advice and service from the Eye Correction centre over the past 2 years. Firstly when I saw Mr Goel to discuss removal of Cataracts and the options available. After wearing glasses for most of my life for both distant and reading and finding wearing contact lenses more uncomfortable as I got older I opted to have multifocal implants after the cataracts were removed. Mr Goel performed the surgery on each eye and the results have been amazing. I can now read and drive without the need for glasses.I have recently been back to see Mr Goel for a small Laser tweak to the left lens and again was very pleased with the results and help provided. Would highly recommend Mr Goel to anyone needing eye surgery.

Amazing results - it was a great service from start to finish. At the end of the day my vision has massively improved. The colour clarity and the detail I can now see after cataract surgery and lens replacement is truly fantastic!! My surgery was tricky as I had had three sessions of laser surgery and normal calcs couldn’t be used!! Can’t recommend Mr Goel and his team enough - thank you.

I recently underwent LASIK eye surgery at Hull and Sheffield (surgery at Sheffield, all follow ups at Hull) My surgeon was Mr Goel, I first met Mr Goel at Hull Royal Infirmary eye hospital, he diagnosed Acanthamoeba keratitis and started intense treatment straight away which saved my sight in my left eye. Because of this I was no longer able to wear contact lenses so I asked Mr Goel about corrective eye surgery, this is when I moved my care over to the eye correction centre to discuss available treatments, Mr Goel explained every procedure available and what was best for myself, he explained everything in a clear and understanding way, at no point was I pressured into having anything done. I was left to research and digest all the information I had been given. I wouldn’t have let anyone else do my surgery as I trusted Mr Goel impeccably with the care of my precious eyes, I decided on the LASIK procedure and surgery was scheduled, on the day of the surgery I was a bit apprehensive but right from the start Mr Goel and his team explained everything that was going to happen and they made me feel at ease at all times, the surgery itself was rather quick and completely pain free. The first 24 hours after the surgery was slightly uncomfortable so I spent the rest of the day resting and sleeping, the next morning I could see perfectly and all discomfort had disappeared, I had a follow up appointment that morning and everything was fine and my sight was perfect. I cannot thank Mr Goel enough for his professionalism and his caring manor throughout this whole process, I am extremely grateful and I would also like to thank his secretary Sue Collins. Absolutely over the moon with the results of my LASIK eye surgery. Mr Goel and his team were honest, kind and made me feel at complete ease from my very first consultation. Incredibly knowledgeable and also transparent with the full treatment so I knew exactly what to expect. I was very nervous for the surgery itself but Mr Goel went over and above to make sure I was calm and informed throughout. Also a big thank you to the team at Hesslewood. Highly recommend!

My treatment was both timely and effective. My eyesight had deteriorated rapidly due to cataracts in both eyes. Mr Quah operated around mid September and my vision improved immediately. A further adjustment of my right eye with a little laser treatment means I now have excellent vision in both eyes and can see well enough to drive without the need for glasses. The service was friendly, efficient and pain-free and I would happily recommend Mr Quah for this type of treatment.

Two weeks ago I had upper eyelid surgery, Blepharoplasty, performed by Mr Goel. From the first consultation with Mr Goel about the need for this procedure he put me at ease, explained the pros and the cons, enabling me to make an informed decision. On the day of the operation everyone at the Hesslewood Clinic did everything they could to put me at ease. Throughout the operation, and afterwards, Mr Goel and his team made sure that I was comfortable and feeling alright. I went back 10 days later to have a follow up appointment and to have the stitches removed. Yet again Mr Goel was kind and gentle. In fact the removal of stitches didn’t hurt at all.
