Before appointing Hassan Shah as my solicitor for my house purchase, I had the opportunity to speak to him several times regarding leasehold & freehold properties and various other matters that concerned me before buying a house. He went above and beyond in assisting me and provided so much crucial advise that I needed at that time. Other solicitors I spoke to discussed payment first however Hassan was happy to guide me with no financial incentive. As a result of this helpful and informative attitude it left no doubt in my mind that I wanted to appoint him as my solicitor. During the process of buying my house Hassan kept me fully informed of what is happening and really took the time out to explain all the legal information I was unsure of. I really appreciated the fact that he would contact me back as soon as I raised any queries or concerns. Before completion I requested a meeting to go through all the documentation so that I had peace of mind and he was more than happy to accommodate this too. It has been an extremely positive experience and in all honestly quite an easy one as Hassan made it all so clear and simple. Even a day before completion when the seller advised me that he had doubts completion will take place, it was Hassan who reassured me during that stressful time that there will be no issues as he has dealt with these complicated situations in the past (he was right!! - completion took place the next day). Being a first time buyer it was great to have Hannah and the rest of khan Mather to guide me through the purchase. Although it took two attempts to purchase, Khan Mather were always there to support my corner and back me up. Great work thank you.

After telephone consultation with Head of the Property Team I got one sentence... Badly managed. They think that: 1. Not checking emails on regular basis is ok. 2. Not explaining to clients what is actually needed and where to get documents is ok. Solicitor didn’t take in charge of her work. 3. Delays are ok. It will not effect them but it effects the client. This is not their problem. It takes as it takes. Really? 4. They just don’t want to see the problem. It means they don’t take job responsibly. 5. They made me to feel guilty that I didn’t chase solicitor enough. I feel that I should be a solicitor of my solicitor. 6. Excuses are always number one. The property wasn’t sold because of the buyer. He was refused the mortgage only 48 hours before completion. It took 5 MONTHS to get to that point. But it is still my fault. Delays are not count! Not the first 3 months till my solicitor worked out what she needs to do. And it was only after me complaining that it takes so long. Summery. I am stuck with 2 properties. No money for living and I can not invest into my education now. So I can not get the job in new country. The buyer without home. And solicitors still says that all was done properly. I don’t see them responsible for their job. They are not responsible for people lives. I am a midwife from NHS and if I would have this attitude I would be kicked out and loose my licenses. Solicitors are ok with it. Just no hope.
