Initially I contacted Thomas Mansfield with a view to getting power of attorney to deal with the affairs of my sister in law who was quite ill. Emma Howlett was extremely helpful in explaining what was required, going into some detail even though at that stage I hadn't appointed Thomas Mansfield to act for me and my husband. In the event, my sister in law was judged by her care home to be mentally incompetent to approve attorneyship. We then appointed Thomas Mansfield to act for us in approaching the Court of Protection for deputyship, explaining that we were doing so because we'd been so impressed by Emma's approach. Emma was very efficient in handling this application quickly, also providing sympathetic support at a time when we really needed it.
