We have 2 ragdoll cats, both indoor/garden cats within a protected back garden (netting at top of fence/wall). They're brother and sister and about 18 months old. Oscar is over 5.5 kg and Evie is slightly less at about 4.5kg. After realising they didn't really have anywhere high to rest in the garden (other than top of fenceposts under the netting), we decided to search for some climbing products. After lots of research and working out that DIY attempts would look cheap and be unsafe and outdoor cat trees are mostly expensive and unstable, we decided to purchase some Catipilla gear for our cats. After a quick email exchange (very good communication from Joseph btw), we placed an order for a Pro Climber and 2 high shelves with cushions, all in gunmetal grey/dark grey. Delivery was within 2 days and on time too. Gear was very well packaged and instructions were super easy to understand. The products are superb quality and all with very smooth and safe finishes. The protection on the brackets has a super finish and the central batons (which the treads fit into) are finished perfectly. For me (fairly competent at putting holes in walls, but no DIY expert) the gear was extremely easy to install. Our garden wall has a protruding band at 180cm high, so I staggered the two central batons slightly to make it fit easier, but our hardest part was deciding where to place the treads (left/right or right/left). Once up, the cats only needed a few treats for encouragement and even managed to get the hang of turning on the treads for each next step up. Within 48 hours, they've found a new lease of life and are constantly climbing and jumping around. We've now ordered some cat walks from Catipilla to give them an escape route if the other cat has decided to follow and won't budge out of the way. Top tip: when you fit the central batons, which hold the treads in place, you'll need a posidrive (Cross head) screwdriver with a relatively thin shaft (ideally a fixed head screwdriver). I was using a multi-head screwdriver with interchangeable bits and it wouldn't fit in the slot for the treads. No big issue, but might slow your progress slightly. All in all,fabulous kit, very well made, super service and quick delivery. Cats love it and that's got to be worth it. Well done Catipilla.

Our mum bought us a Catipilla activity wall as a replacement for the standard cat tower. We are a mother and daughter duo who are a bit rambunctious, but we have to say these Catipilla products are extremely sturdy (unlike the old tower which we toppled over a couple of times) We especially love the Tee Pee bed! Although mum only bought us one, I'm not sure what she was thinking. Our favourite thing to do is sit on the catwalk above the door and sneak attack the people when they walk through. I bought 3 climbers from catipilla, a resting spot and step for the side of my house and garage. Note: the tall climber in the pictures comes as two small climbers which is handy because it gives more flexibility - they can be installed to make one tall climber or offset to give more width if you prefer. Initially I thought the products were a little pricey but, having looked into DIY shelving options, I think these are actually very well priced and likely trying to make my own would have been both more expensive and less good. They’re thoughtfully designed, light but robust. If you are planning to install outside the carpeting fits very snugly and will withstand scratching and has rubber underlay which prevents water entering the unit. The carpet itself is weather resistant and doesn’t seem wet after rain. A few treats on the steps has got my cat interested and she managed the zig zag up the climbers quite intuitively (she’s 3). The instruction videos are helpful but show indoor installations - I think outdoor is a little more tricky because the drill holes need to be fairly precise for some of the fittings and that can be difficult with bricks (although it’s probably fine if you’re used to it, it was my first time using a masonry drill). I also found the team very responsive to emails, replying to queries within an hour or two. Once up, and with the extra brackets supplied for the tread steps the units are rock solid and will be fine for bigger cats. I’m really pleased with them and the cat is happily using the lower climber already which is pretty encouraging, hopefully she’ll work up to the high resting spot! I might add a couple of walkways since I think that would make it even more enticing/accessible for my cat.
