We had an very good experience booking our catamaran experience with Christina from DMA Yachting. She was quick to respond, sent us a nice selection of options, she made it easy to book and she was always available for every question that came up. The payment options were a bit confusing - first payment had to be an international transfer but afterwards it was ok to pay with credit card. Why wasn’t that an option to begin with? It was still a pleasure booking with them.

I worked with Daniel to secure a sailing catamaran yacht during the peak of the COVID crisis. He listened and supported my requests for additional protective language in the contract with the yacht owner that protected me should governments or airlines make it impossible for this trip to happen. He also supported me in seeking an acceptable resolution with the yacht owner when I had several maintenance issues while on our trip. I would highly recommend DMA Yachting to anyone looking to be treated with respect and have "your back".

Don't trust DMA Yachting!
We booked a 3 night private charter for our family through DMA Yachting for $8250. It was an expensive trip but we had been on 3 other private charters as a couple and were excited to share the experience we had always loved, with our family! Unfortunately, the BVI's were closed and the catamaran we had sailed on before, with the highest quality of service, was not available due to COVID closures. We had to use a broker to find a boat/crew that were available in the USVI's. Big mistake! Don't trust the brokerage companies!! Book through an owner/operator if at all possible! DMA Yachting booked us on a boat, the owner later admitted, they had never seen and knew nothing about although they represented the boat like they did. I will commend them and gave an extra star, for checking in on us and making contacts with the owner during our trip to convey the problems with the boat and trying to get a resolution. This boat had been used for day charters which I have now learned are among the poorest quality boats available. Our captain didn't even know how to turn on the outdoor lights so we had to eat our first dinner by flashlight. The generator broke down every day so we had very little sleep due to hot cabins during the night. We had a mechanic on board every day of our trip. We finally learned they had been having problems with the generator for weeks...algae in the fuel lines. The first night, I pulled back our bedding and found sand in the sheets. We never had any hot water the entire trip. The heads would not flush waste so we had to ask the captain to take care of it every time which was embarrassing and inconvenient. The rear deck that led to the stairs used when snorkeling or swimming had loose boards and my 5 yr old granddaughter's leg fell through and was stuck. Finally her dad was able to free her leg and she had only bruising but it could have been a serious injury. My daughter used a paddle board and the oar was so decayed it caused cuts and left pieces of fiberglass in her hands. There were no privacy screens on the hatches over the cabins so anyone on deck could see in. The boat owner offered no discount for all the problems that occurred with the boat and falsely advertised simple amenities like air conditioning, heads that work and showers with hot water. The owner, Daniel Asmus, emailed me after our trip saying he was trying to get compensation from the boat owner and added, "If the owner does not do what we feel is right, we're ready to step up and offer you a partial refund. Nevertheless, if the refund is from our commission, it will not be as significant as if the owner stepped in." In the end, he did not follow through on what he said he would do and only offered a discount if we book with DMA Yachting in the future. I'm not a negative person. I've only posted 3 negative reviews over the years for any product or service. We enjoyed the beauty of USVI and being together despite all the challenges of the poor condition of the boat, Sirena owned by Seas the Day. These private charters are very expensive and I don't want anyone else to be taken advantage of like we were by both the owners of the catamaran and the broker, DMA Yachting, who booked us on this boat.

DMA were great throughout
DMA were great throughout. We dealt with Andrea who talked us through the whole process as we'd never chartered a boat before. We started with a wide selection and we were impressed with Andrea's knowledge of the boats and crews and her insight and advice. We eventually settled upon Lutetia which was THE perfect choice for us and we had the most amazing, unforgettable week. The boat was amazing, as were the Captain and crew. All through the selection, booking, organization, transfer, logistics Andrea was available and we felt in such safe hands. We would 100% recommend DMA to anyone.
