AgilePM Fond & Prac Course

The course provider made the process of booking onto the course easy, with a great, knowledgeable instructor, delivering the course in a manner, which helped students understand the course content.

Really helpful team

I really enjoyed the AgilePM course and hope to complete more courses with NILC in the future. The instructor was friendly, encouraging, and easy to talk to. I received all of my course materials in a timely manner, and Karim was on hand to answer any queries that I had throughout the registration process. All in all, it was a really positive experience, and I would 100% recommend.

I wish it was easier to see the whole…

I wish it was easier to see the whole test page, i found it very difficult trying to read the questions and navigate, which we had to with some questions, to the required cell or wherever on the worksheet. If we were at an actual venue, I would have asked for a printed copy of the questions. I didn't feel at all comfortable sitting a test online, the said problem made me panic including when resitting it. Some people might be perfectly comfortable doing it online but not everbody is made the same. I believe that I failed the test the first time and only scraped through the resit because of this hassle, this was nit a true reflection if my ability, and in fact, because I only just tripped over the passing line, I'm suffering a from anxiety and self doubt, a problem that was already there, but now not helped by the ECDL tests. You need to do something about this problem of nit being able to see everything on screen at the same time. I only give NILC 4 stars because the tutor, Julie was excellent, and had she not been there, I would have failed I can guarantee you that. Not every tutor would have been so helpful and sympathetic, let alone so clear in her instructions. So top marks to Julie, but low to the test design.

Managing Successful Programmes training

Great pre-course support and information, and the course itself was packed with incredibly helpful information that I will be using in my working role.

Completed a Microsoft Course and it was…

Completed a Microsoft Course and it was fantastic. The tutor went above and beyond spending time to answer queries at the end of the course and the NILC admin team were always happy to help. This was the first course I have completed in a number of years so was a little daunted in what to expect, but needn’t worried. Would definitely recommend.

Too much talking at rather than engaging

The trainer was very friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer queries etc. However the delivery style had limited interaction with the participants. Day 1 there were a couple of break out sessions and discussions however none for Days 2 and 3. This resulted in a lack of engagement and the information not sinking in.

Pick NILC and get on Tonys taught courses

Scrum was my third course with NILC, taught by Tony Perks. I did Agile and Prince2. Tony really brings the course material alive and is more than happy for participants to ask questions and encourages interaction. It is, however, a 50/50 relationship though as you the individual have to make the effort to attend as well as participate. Yes, the course is short - 2 days but in reality, you have from the time you sign up to read the pre-course material and familiarise yourself with the terminology (in total about 25 pages). So what's that 5 pages a day for 5 days? Plus I watched a few 5-10 minute youtube videos on the subject while I had a coffee a couple days before. The Scrum course was great but it does have a high pass mark. I would recommend doing agile first as the pass mark is more forgiving and it will get you in the headspace for the exams as well as a foundation. Karim the organiser was also outstanding. Always quick and prompt to answer questions as super helpful. Lastly I know that if you do have any issues I know that Karim and Tony will go above and beyond to help you pass - you just have to meet them halfway.
