Scholarshipowl.com might work well for high school and college students, but once you’re in graduate school or later, their service is useless. They won’t admit it or refund your money either.

I signed up for ScholarshipOwl, but then I lost my job :( I panicked, thinking that they were going to charge me for a membership that I couldn’t afford. Instead, Ena replied to my email and took care of everything for me! Made sure that I wouldn’t incur a charge, and was just SO INCREDIBLY NICE! It might sound trivial, but being kind to someone can change everything for them- she didn’t know that I was going through a hard time, she is just 100% committed to her job and has impeccable customer service skills. When I have steady income again, I will come back to ScholarshipOwl. The world should have more ‘Ena’s in it :)

What Scholarship Owl is doing very well, is how they contact and congratulate the winners of the scholarships. What they should improve is after the winner completes the application to receive the fund they should send a confirmation that they received the form to let the winners know and that they are not stress because they complete this one but didn't received any confirmation. But overall the experience is great and the website is really helpful because you can apply to many scholarships in a fast way and more effective.

Doesn’t seem to be much of any scholarships for the University of Houston downtown or the University of Houston Victoria
