ScholarshipOwl have the most pleasant and informative workers. They also helped me understand how to get more scholarships.

This site is not that good. Not worth the money. I know it gives the user access to many scholarships they may not have found on their own, however it also is a huge time waster. I was “matched” with 158 scholarships. But when I spent days going through them I wasn’t eligible for even half. Many of then are for disabilities I did not list I had, for states I didn’t list that I’m in. This site says it matches you, but it doesn’t. It gives you a couple hundred scholarships and not enough information. Sometimes this website tells you that the ONLY requirement is writing an essay, but when you google the scholarship, it turns out you had to have graduated from a specific high-school, or you have to live in a specific state, or be perusing a specific type of degree. There is no “matching” system. You will pay to have them give a list of random and sometimes relevant scholarships to sort through and research. On the plus side, it is an easy site to use and some of the scholarships are actually very fast to apply for.

genuinely the most exploitative companies i've ever experienced. it's free to sign up but to actually use their services you need to pay $45 quarterly. that would be fine and dandy if they actually were legit. but reeling in already broke college students with the promise of receiving aid for thousands of dollars of debt while putting them in deeper debt is disgusting. i've applied for hundreds of these scholarships through this website, and for well over half of them a winner is never announced. even when they match you to a specific scholarships that are aimed towards your personal life, you will not get money back from this. the vast majority of people that pay for this website will actively lose money, save yourself the time and energy and stay away from this website. you be better off going to a school counselor and asking them for a list of scholarships because this sh!t's a scam. not to even mention that they've covered their digital footprints very heavily to the point where you cannot even find bad information about this website likely due to them paying people for reviews. there's no way for actual users to leave a review on their website that people will see and take into account. they claim to have this high 4. something rating across the board, but from every single person i've heard that uses this website or has in the past, has had a terrible experience with this company and has voiced that they haven't been able to express this anywhere because this company make it virtually impossible. this is a very evil business practice and honestly not ethical to do to a vulnerable group of people like indebted college students
