Really useful business forum

I love this website. I’ve had new customers contact me through the directory. I also find the forum a really useful platform for sharing ideas and getting advice. It’s well moderated so not spammy like a lot of the business forums.

Just have fun...

Forums and blogs can be a tedious and boring arena, skimming through endless pages of dross that often waffle on without making much sense or even have no point. My local services on the other hand offers help and advice to like minded people and small businesses. It's forum gives you the confidence to ask for help, even when you think your question has been asked many times before. They really are a friendly bunch, the forum has some great discussions and it us a fantastic online community. Come along and say hello, you will not regret it......

Great forum with potentially super useful information

Most of the directories I speak highly of, don’t ask you to pay (or ask you to pay on results, ie actual client bookings.) [I mean Wahanda & FreeIndex, ( which I have reviewed on Trust pilot) What about MylocalSevices ? I like them , but for a specialist business like ours ( colon hydro therapy ), i can't say it does very much in terms of bookings. But I do take a relaxed point of view. My strong advice about business directories is: Grab the free listing, place fresh content on it (the kind of thing you’d like to read), engage in forums if available, take advice and give it, and allow Google to find you. Guage the performance of the directory for your business in terms of what it can do for you , not what it can't. And apply commonsense. For instance, I like MyLocalSevices as a business directory, but WLC are the only listed Colonics company on it. Whats the rationale for thinking that it is ever going to be the directory where loads of potential clients search for colonics? Its not- atleast not until a lot more colonics clinics list on it. For us where MLS scores is their forum which genuinely fosters a sense of community and is excellently moderated.I enjoy contributing to it , and honing my business philosophy the lively interchange with other members. So i think why not give value by posting new content- that helps the directory as a whole to impress Google and thereby do well in searches.MLS are therefore great place to be listed, the cost of a paid listing is quite low , and the functionality of the site is impressive. If you like competent , super friendly folk , I'd suggest joining. Start with the free listing by all means , and suck and see what suits.
