I have chosen midwifery and it is a brilliant course. The teachers are Professional, friendly, very helpful and give lots of support. It is one of the best decisions in my life and I am enjoying every minute of the course.

Really great, supportive and responsive, engaging tutors and so many great resources! The platform which is all in Microsoft teams isn't like the typical platforms other online courses use so its way more simple and fun to use. There's not just loads of reading, there's prerecorded lectures so it really caters to different learning styles which helps result in minimum boredom (after all sometime studying can still be boring in nature). With other providers I have found tutors to be super distance and you also don't get the opportunity to interact with other students but here you get all of that so you don't feel isolated and can still learn the essential skill of communicating and getting the important experience of interacting with other students because after all this is a course to lead you to Higher Education where that is a big part of student life. You won't feel unprepared or neglected at all here! The tutors really want you to succeed and they are prepared to help you as long as you put in all the effort! Timings are flexible as well. Definitely recommend.

I love that the Tutors are always just a message or phone call away and the lessons are live. Great that they are recorded too so that you can easily catch up. After being out of education for a couple of years I’ve found them extremely understanding and helpful.

A really great flexible course that I’ve found really easy to fit around my work and life. The tutors are really supportive and patient, while also understanding that life gets busy and sometimes school work must be put on the back burner. I’ve only been here for a couple of months but am really enjoying my course and am finding it super flexible as well as feel like I’m gaining something!

Pros - Very flexible around full-time & part-time work. Ability to spread the payment of course over 12 months. Entirely remote. Cons - Lack of structure on induction with the course tutor. Consistent significant gaps in response times (often taking up to a week). Missed deadlines from tutor e.g. assignment briefs being set, receiving feedback on work. Lack of attention to detail in the course content e.g. technical difficulties in recordings which haven't been fixed. The time taken to grade the first graded module took up 3 months of the course time which is a year, with at least 9 modules. I submitted this with time remaining on the deadline. My concerns about the timing of the modules being set and graded I don't feel have been taken seriously. Overall, the concept of the course is really good but the actual experience so far is frustrating. I'd hoped to graduate within a year which was definitely attainable, but I'm unsure how that can now feasibly happen without an immense push from my end.

The support from course leaders and tutors is second to none, they are (almost) always available! When they’re not available, they are super quick to get back to you and so helpful. The course content is great and I love that we have interacted both online in class sessions and out of of class in the teams chat (sharing resources etc). Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to pursue a career and requires access to HE.

I am doing the Access to Higher Education Computer Science. This course will allow me to go to university this year. The weekly lessons provide lots of useful information and resources. My tutor gives helpful feedback that is easy to follow and has been able to come up with a solution to all the problems I have had so far. The support provided by the staff is very good. I am enjoying the course and would recommend it to anyone who needs A-level equivalent qualifications.

I am currently doing the access course in my gap year, i’ve loved every part of it. The flexibility is great and I have thoroughly enjoyed completing assignments.
