Appalling customer service from the Head quarters of the Radiator Centre - lack of aftercare and empathy by Nick Duggan who is the Director of The Radiator Centre in St Albans. When radiators purchased five years ago were becoming rusty where the joints are, he agreed to get them taken away to investigate and re-polish the surface of the cast iron radiators. However the valves and tail ends were missing when radiators were delivered back to us a month or so later. Nick Duggan sent rude emails accusing our plumber "for being stupid" by not removing the valves on radiators prior to collection. There was no written instructions at the time of collection so the valves and tail ends were still connected to the radiators. Nick emailed several times saying that it is the fault of our "stupid" plumber and that they had lost the connecting valves. He passed on to a colleague who charged us nearly £100 for these cast valves. Be warned, Nick Duggan as the Director is a bully and can't be trusted in terms of aftercare of radiators that are sold by The Radiator Centre. We won't recommend St Albans branch. End of.

Disappointing customer service from the St Albans branch. Having provided the store with the pipe depths etc, and looked at several options, we were ultimately sold a radiator that did not fit our pipes and was missing a part. The manager of the store called me to discuss it.He agreed to send out the missing part, but did not accept any responsibility for not flagging that the radiator his sales person had suggested we opt for would not work. The manager said "it should have been obvious to us", but it was clearly not obvious or we would have asked the question. The radiator cost more than £1,200 and I would have expected the manager to take a more constructive approach to resoving the problem. I was not asking for a replacement radiator, but I expected more goodwill, for example a contribution to the extra plumbing cost that I will face. Overall, places like this are only worth using if the customer service is excellent. Otherwise I would recommend buying much less expensive products from online retailers.
I bought 6 Spartan 4-column radiators…
I bought 6 Spartan 4-column radiators and 3 were delivered with damaged, flaking paint. The damage can be seen underneath the packaging, so they were damaged before being packed and delivered – see the photos attached. When I complained they said they couldn’t do anything. Beware! Bad service and poor-quality products at a high price!

Very happy with the beautiful radiator I bought - Princess II - in beaten brass. Pete Daws from the Islington showroom was so helpful. They have a very good selection of radiators on show.
