I️ am so happy that I️ used Motivate MD for help with my personal statement. Meredith was my editor and she is amazing. She responds very quickly and she's extremely thorough, great at making things concise, and great at helping me to reflect on my experiences. I️ couldn't have asked for a better editor!

I paid $90 and I felt that I did not get a thorough review of my personal statement. I was mainly concerned about grammar, tone, and voice and there were maybe 1-2 edits exclusively on grammar. The rest of the edits were combined into one small paragraph that basically said I should rewrite two of my paragraphs because they weren't "supporting my reason for wanting to become a physician." I do not think that this was bad advice by any means, but it was so unspecific and confusing and I later received an email saying my editor suggests that I pay for another session, although I wanted to submit my primary application the next day. Edit*** someone reached out to me through customer service and offered to have someone else review my essay. Although I already submitted, I am changing my review because I can see they truly care about customer satisfaction. They also gave me different editors more tailored to my number one medical school for future use in reviewing my secondaries. Although resubmitting and booking another session in my case was unhelpful, I can definitely see how this would be perfect for others who got their essays in early.

Across three reviews, Eleni provided helpful suggestions both grammatically and content-wise. I believe her suggestions made the narrative of my personal statement more coherent and easy to understand.

As any pre-medical student could attest to, completing course work thing, MCAT is another and the whole AMCAS is another at time daunting task. Motivate MD has by far max this completing my personal statement and work/activities section by far much more manageable. Fast turn around, they provided me with helpful tips on how and where to improve on my essays and feedback on the overall story. I was never the type of student that asked for help and went into everything alone but Motivate MD has changed my view on that because the people reviewing your essays/application have been through the same process and know what works vs what doesn’t. I’ve recommended Motivate MD to a lot of my friends (pre-med & pre-dental) and would recommend them to anyone applying to medical school because this part of your application can make or break an acceptance
