Nepal
I had an amazing two weeks in Nepal. Touring around Kathmandu,Pokhara and visiting safaris in Chitwan. Then volenteering in schools and villages, it was a great experience. Most of all I’d like to shout out the wonderful staff (Aya, Fraser and Wangda) who made the trip as great as possible. I will definitely be volunteering with travelteer again.

I have just volunteered in Nepal as part of a college trip
I have just volunteered as part of a college trip with Travelteer in Nepal and it was the best experience of my life! We volunteered at local schools and helped to paint a new IT lab which had been built by part of the travelteer Nepal team. It was so eye opening and I know it will have had such a long lasting positive impact on my life. Aya and Fraser were so helpful and supported us at all times of the trip and we all really enjoyed speaking with them and socialising in the evenings. Wangda, the Nepalese guide we had, was really inspiring and made the trip so interesting! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to make an impact on a community whilst also having the best time and making new friends!

Textile Design Programme - Dissapointing
Having arrived in Hikkaduwa for 2 weeks of volunteering, there are a possibility of 3 houses that you could be put in. However, it is clearly noticeable that the rooms in both Lake House and Pool House are much larger and nicer than the rooms at Ocean House, which was the one I was allocated. In my opinion this was disappointing and unfair as we have all paid the same amount of money to stay there. As for the Volunteering, I found the Textile Programme to be quite dissatisfying. I had the perception that we would be involved in teaching local women how to embroider so that they could make a living. This was not the case. Although still enjoyable, we had to teach other volunteers how to sew as they had little experience of having sewed before. As for the other times, we were left to our own devices as no guidance was provided in what we should be making/doing. Not only this, but there were very few textile supplies to work with thus, leading me to question why we were asked to fundraise money for equipment /materials needed to aid this Textile Programme. Therefore, I fail to see where my money had gone!

Travelteer volunteering review
I had the best time volunteering with travelteer in Nepal! We volunteered in mountain villages and local schools, renovating classrooms and painting. It was such a rewarding experience. Our project manager Sam made our time in Nepal even better, we were well organised and I always felt safe and looked after. I met such an amazing group of people and the group dynamic was lovely, this was helped by sam making sure we all felt comfortable and everyone got to know each other well. I also partook in the Peak to Peak tour which was so fun! We got to see so much and really immersed ourselves in Nepalese culture. Our tour guide Wangda was incredible!

Morocco
Morocco — I recommend Travelteer completely, due to the fact that they are a very supportive charity, I booked this before I injured myself and got diagnosed with a severe slipped disc, I lost my ability to walk, and they've been with me throughout my disability journey, got better and went to Morocco, I've had mental health breakdowns and Paula and the rest of the staff have been very supportive with my mental health and disability, they will work your schedule around your disability needs and your health needs, couldn't fault any of the healthy food that was cooked 3 times a day, couldn't fault any of the trips, our house were all lived in were all full of mature students and help each other as a team, I do not fault anything and I wish to thank the team for being here for me and with me! I will definitely come again next year to a different location

Sri Lanka volunteering
During my trip to Sri Lanka, the staff that accompanied us were kind and helpful during the trip. The activities such as Pigeon Island and the food were all well thought out and efficient, making the experience more fun. Also anything we requested were accounted for and included like supermarket trips and games. The experience was eye-opening and exiting all the way through!
