I had to cancel my order and the money was returned immediately, which I appreciated. The communication was also very good.

Showed their true colours in addressing an issue...

Let's be honest -- it didn't start off too well, because they goofed in sending the wrong size of the bamboo wind chime I'd ordered, so then the question was, how they'd respond when I reported that. Anyone can make a mistake, and I wouldn't down-rate a trader just for an occasional little goof. I got a very prompt response, in which they notified me that they'd already issued a refund for me, with apologies because when they then checked they found that the whole batch of that model was similarly undersize, and so they'd have to raise that with the wholesalers because they'd ordered and paid for the larger (50cm) version. Not only that, but they explained that in such circumstances their policy was not to ask for return of the 'wrong' item, so it could be used, passed on (i.e., to charity shop) or disposed of as the customer saw fit. Now, that's real service (and a half)! I also warmed to the very 'with-it', professional and conscientious manner of their communication, which really inspires confidence in them. I'm sure they considered themselves suitably (self) chastized by the experience, and would take more care to physically check new stock before putting it on sale. There is one little thing on their site that I'd draw attention to, which WCS would do well to address, and that is the (I'm sure unintentional) misleading effect of the excellent video clips of the chimes. The issue is simply that bamboo chimes pretty generally are assembled haphazardly with regard to the notes / pitches that they sound, so there needs to be a reasonably prominent disclaimer **in the caption for each of those videos**, that because of individual variation the actual notes / pitches heard in the demo example are not an indication of what any ordered example would sound like musically, but they are a pretty good indication of the particular chime's tone and overall pitch level. I got caught out by that in my previous (first) order from WCS, where the example in the video sounded a clear whole-tone scale. Some people might hate that but I really could have done with that. What I got had a much more normal and nonedescript selection of notes. By a gnat's whisker I decided to keep that chime, because it did sound some microtonal intervals that could work well in my pioneering wind chimes recording project -- look up my name and "nature-symphonies" (with the hyphen).
