A1 is a great place to take your driving classes. I started my training with Faz but had to continue with Manny due to a situation beyond my control. I love the transition, professionalism, good customer service and understanding from both tutors. After, five hours of intense and detailed training with Manny Usman, I passed my exams. I recommend A1!!!

If you want to learn driving, go with Tanzeel (Tan) as your driving instructor. He is highly experienced and the best teacher you can find in Derby. I passed my driving test today, first attempt with 3 minors and its all thanks to Tan, who has been very patient with me and understood where I need more learning. I was very nervous on my test day and Tan helped me to calm my nerves and he trusted in my ability which gave me the confidence I needed. He will teach you not just to pass your driving test but also how to drive in real life. I can't thank Tan enough for helping my through my journey. He is the best teacher you can find. 😊

my first attempt I passed the exam I highly recommend Mo as a driving instructor. He is very patient and personal Great for experienced and inexperienced drivers. he is Very knowledgeable . I will always recommend Mo first to my family and friends.

Couldn’t recommend A1 Derby enough, my instructor Maryam was hands down the best instructor I have ever had. She helped me grow my confidence out on the road and now I can’t wait to drive around after passing my test today! Maryam was also very patient and friendly making lessons really enjoyable. She also had loads of different things that helped me during my test, including motivational stress globes which reminded me to ‘take a deep breath’ and that I ‘can do this’ and I finally did!!! Can’t thank her enough x

For those of you who are looking for an amazing driving instructor get booking Tanzeel (Tan). In a short space of time I have passed my driving test in first attempt with only 2 minors . He is really patient and very informative driving instructor.I was lucky enough to have him as my instructor, he was so pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about all things driving/cars/tips & tricks to park, etc. He prepares his students so well, that when it comes to the actual practical test, you will be have full knowledge and confidence needed to pass. If I could I’d give him 10 stars.I highly recommend him. Thank you.

I passed my driving test and I took classes from Zaf and Neelam. They trained me perfect this beautiful day of my life. They both are brilliant and well trained to take classes for any sorts of level drivers. I hope you all will enjoy a same passing day with them. Thank you all.!!

I really don’t know how this driving school has such good reviews. My experience with them has left me thinking that they’re quite useless to be honest. My instructor was ok to start with but he started to drop me off early and expected me to pay full price. He cancelled some lessons, when I tried to re arrange them he wouldn’t reply for days on end and when he finally did all his slots were taken up. He didn’t even show up for one lesson. Fast forward couple months and he says he’s going on holiday, 2.5 weeks, it’s been over a month and my test is already booked for June. I contacted A1 multiple times to try and get this sorted but all they’ve said is “ we will get back to you soon” and I’ve heard nothing. They don’t answer the phone and trust me I’ve rang them about 50 times. I’ve now had to go to another school to rush to find another instructor. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Their reply to this review says everything you need to know about this school. They do have my details and know exactly who I am as when I posted this review my driving instructor called me. Their owner is obviously in denial about these issues.

Passed my driving exam today with Kamran as my instructor. My lessons with Kamran went really great and aside from knowing all the ins and outs within Derby his knowledge with driving is top notch. I highly recommend having Kamran as your instructor when reaching out to A1.

I passed my driving test first time with Manny Usman, the best driving instructor I could’ve asked for! Very patient, calm and thorough with his explanations! He always made sure I understood any faults and learn from them, he really took his time with teaching me - literally wouldn’t have been able to do it without him!
