Carpet Buckling

At first, I was very pleased. The carpet was very nice and the service was also good. However, the carpet which had been laid began to buckle in several spots in the living room and down the hallway. I called the store and was told that this sometimes happens. They sent a man to come to the house and fix the problem. He came and did fix the living room, but failed to fix the hallway. I have called and gone by the store to ask that someone return to my house to fix the hallway. It has been over a year, and the buckling has become worse, and still no one has come. Was told in September that the owner, Bruce, had been notified of my problem. STILL WAITING !!!! I am very disappointed in this company's service.

Zero Stars

If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered Somerset floors through Floors Unlimited because it $1,000 more through local companies. The estimated time was a month, however in the disclosure they arent responsible for changes to the time. Turns out, somerset is behind due to covid, Unfortunate, but okay. Our issue was we needed to floors, in order to put in our kitchen. For a month, Mark, the customer service, led on saying soon or they should be going next week. It came down to crunch time and they weren't going out, so i asked about the refund policy. They can refund til shipping invoice is created. I told him a local place had the floors i wanted in stock a month ago, so i was going to contact them. Surprise! Invoice the next day. We call for the 100th time and floors will arrive Friday or at worst monday. Monday night results in a call to the shipping company and they said it was a duplicate po, so it never went. They had no idea. The go between shipping Coordinator company ended up trying to help us compared to floors unlimited. With their help, we finally go the floors a week and a half too late. Just be upfront and honest, no need to string me along for something that impacts my renovation/life. Never will we recommend or use again.

BEWARE!

I ordered 34 boxes of flooring from Floors Unlimited. Because Floors Unlimited improperly palleted the boxes, the flooring inside the boxes was unsupported and flopped around on their cross-country delivery journey from New York to California. Because of their lack of support, 13 boxes of the flooring arrived ruptured. Other boxes arrived with ends crushed and ripped. Because the boxes were ruptured, when delivered, some of the flooring was out of the boxes and on the floor of the delivery truck. I have no idea how much more flooring is missing. An entire pallet (17 boxes) on a broken and crushed pallet, flipped upside down when dropped from the lift gate during delivery. My licensed flooring contractor has stated he has no confidence in the integrity of the flooring. Even though Floors Unlimited agreed that they should replace at least some of the boxes and told me they were insured for this, they have not done so. I tried to amicably resolve this with Floors Unlimited, but I was insulted by their representative, told an unnamed supervisor (with no contact information) would review it and then, Floors Unlimited completely ignored me despite my emails asking for resolution. My licensed flooring contractor is scheduled to install in a few weeks, and it appears that Floors Unlimited will simply try to ignore their responsibility to force me to use the flooring they delivered in a damaged and defective condition without taking responsibility and replacing it.

Customer service stopped responding

Ordered 21 boxes of flooring. Price was really good. Delivery showed up, only 17 boxes were there. Contacted them and they sent the other 4 boxes. I had ordered about 20% extra to make sure we had plenty of extra. Well, the second shipment, two boxes were damaged (from the metal banding around the boxes). My installer made due with what they could, between the shipping damage and mis milled pieces. The other problem with the second shipment was there was 1 box from a different batch (all the other 20 boxes were from 2 batches). That box was completely full of short pieces. The installer said they see that from time to time, where someone gets done with a job, boxes all of those up and returns for refund. The installers said I should have had 3-4 boxes leftover if there weren't so many issues. I again contacted them and was told they by someone that he would file a claim with the shipper. I checked back a couple weeks later and was told it could take up to 60 days. I have never been responded to since that point (April of last year). I have sent numerous messages and contacted via chat (they told me I would get a call or e-mail) and no one has ever responded in now 17 months. At minimum, I should have been refunded for 2 boxes of damaged wood, but realistically 3 due to the short piece box. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is that the price was good. I will never do business with them again, though. Buyer beware!

My Husband was reluctant to purchase flooring online, many local stores wouldn't even help us during the Covid 19 pandemic... so we googled the flooring we were interested in and visited FloorsUnlimited.com. We were shocked at the service, and the pricing!! We saved THOUSANDS on a very top of the line product, Lauzon Hardwood, and the delivery process was super easy and fast!!! "Customer Service" employee needs some Customer Service Training

I ordered $2,300 worth of flooring on 5-18-20. My card was processed and I received an order confirmation. The website said most orders ship 24-48 hours by can take 5-7 days. Today I contacted the only Customer service rep (he identified himself as CS Rep in his e-mail to me) an asked status of my order. He advised order was back-ordered and could/would not provide a firm delivery date when requested. I then requested shy he had not advised of back-order and why was my card charged the full amount when they did not have stock. He then on his own cancelled my order and told me to check back at the end of June and I could place my order again it they had stock. BUT, floors are on a first come first serve basis and I'd have to get lucky to get it. BUT I already had a back-order that would have put me first in line if he had not cancelled it. Now, I contact the only CS rep and asked why order was cancelled and to give me a potential delivery date and asked if re-instating my order would have benefit. He then directed me to review his website for terms and conditions that allowed them to charge my card in full and then not deliver product as promised. I reviewed the site, could not find any language like that and advised him as such, he then cancelled my online account and when I questioned why I could not access my account, He blocked the entire website from my access. Seriously within 10 minutes of my e-mail request for a link to the T&C website, he cancelled my online account at FloorsUnlimited and then when questioned about that he cancelled any access to the site. I get this now; Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Why would the only "Customer Service" employee do this to a paying customer that questioned a valid order that was never delivered as promised. Don't walk away from this company - RUUUUUNNNNN. Added 6-8-20. Let me say that after posting my original review with the customer service names spelled out he complained to trust pilot about violating their policies putting identifiable information in my review. Therefore I had to edit the review to remove his name and when he replied look at what he did, the exact same thing he complained about my review. My email address is matt @ shanserv.com please email me and I will be happy to send you the entire email chain between this customer service rep and myself and you can read for yourself the lies and misrepresentations of facts to know you do not want to do business with this one person operation. This is a review about this vendor's capabilities and honesty both are objectionable in my opinion with my business dealings with them that is the truth. Please email me at read for yourself before you send this business $1. I have not received a refund - I had to contact my credit card vendor and request a charge back. I will be happy to supply you with that email exchange as well to further prove the dishonest dealings of this business.

Great Service

Great service, great prices, and great customer service. I placed my order for some vinyl flooring and the shipment arrived as scheduled. Dealing with Marc was a pleasure and I did not have to worry about not getting a hold of him. Marc always replied promptly and answered all my questions. Having this type of customer support is one of the biggest benefits when dealing with Floors Unlimited as well as some of the best prices. Will definitely purchase from them again and I will highly recommend them. A great company to deal with.
