The guide Frances was very good. The schedule was well organized, the sites well chosen. The flights and Niagara bus drivers were good. However, the bus company Happy travels was sub-standard. The bus broke down on tour and the drivers did not speak French, English, or Spanish. The 1st bus driver was late the first day which caused us to miss obe one the sites. The breakdown made miss another visit. The food was not adequate for teenagers, seafood 3 times does not work at all. The other days , the quantity was minimal. The hotel in Tours Brit hotel was substandard, no AC, spiders everywhere but the staff was excellent

Students did not receive what they paid for. They were tricked with deceptive advertising making it seem like they were getting one thing, but turned out to be a bait and switch at the end. most fun activities for students were the one not planned by Explorica, but were additions added by Group Leader. Failed to book one student on a flight. Removed experiential activities in order to save money and eat into students' time to explore and see more.

We went on a trip through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France.It was through a Jamestown High school.The director of the trip was, Vicky Rochelle.The tour guide was named Sophie.The Teacher slash tour director was moving very fast through the whole trip,My G/f has COPD and we where at the back of the group.Having a very hard time keeping up with them.We where very disappointed with our experience.The teacher /director was hardly ever checking on us.The tour guide was good at the beginning,then near the end didn't seem the give a damn about us either.The Guide and Director didn't check to see if there where elevators at the airports or any of the sites we where at.To help for us to get to different areas.like at the airport , subway .We will never go on a trip through Explorica again .

We missed our connecting flight the first day of travel, and instead of getting our group to our first location, they very cheaply waited until the airline could get us on another flight. I had also complained when they booked the tickets that an hour and a half between flights was cutting it too close. Turned out I was right. That was three days of our tour wasted and we ended up missing our first country all together. They should’ve made more of an effort to get us to the first stop on our trip instead of just waiting for the airline to do it.

Great guide and schedule and food. A bit pricey for what we got.

The Ibis we stayed in was much better than a previous Ibis I stayed in with a group. Our very first Ibis budget hotel was terrible. It was in a very rough neighborhood. One didn’t feel safe. The people were great on the trip! We really enjoyed our day with Andrew. Babette is very organized and does her best to keep people safe. She was open to feedback and appreciated it. She was very helpful after the tour.

I loved how you had a replacement ready for us for Rainier who tested positive at the last moment, and had an amazing replacement ready in Thomas!! Thomas walked us through some picky eaters so well even with it being a challenge!! So great leading us through several cities and countries with ease! I know it was stressful for both of them but they made it relaxing for us!

This was our second time traveling to Japan with Explorica. We often refer to the first trip as having been perfect, but somehow this one was even more perfect? Our tour guide, Hiroshi, was exceptional. He helped a member of our group figure out a personal excursion that was important to him, helped the whole group transfer to the hotel for our stay-behind, and was just generally informative and attentive the whole trip. He kept everything running flawlessly, our meals were even hot and ready on the table when we arrived each night. The itinerary was well-paced, packed with beautiful and interesting sights, and still left time to shop and explore. The buses and hotels were comfortable (though at the first hotel one room had inadequate air conditioning and another smelled lightly of body odor.) The included meals were hearty and offered a good mix of authentic Japanese foods and familiar fare for pickier eaters. We had the time of our lives!

I just returned home from a tour of Italy. First Explorica booked us on Air Canada that delayed our trip for 2 days. Then when we arrived in Florence, the hotel had ants in it. The last hotel in Rome had a dead roach in it. The food that I paid breakfast and dinner for in advanced was not prepared well. There was a meal that look like a sponge cake with tomato sauce all over it. The only thing I could eat was the salad. I ended up buying dinner and breakfast at another location on a regular basis. The last hotel prepared a meal but then would not give us water. They told us we had to pay for water. I opted not to eat at that point because I could not eat without anything to wash it down with and I went to sleep hungry. They served breakfast for us which was bread and cereal. Nothing else. This was by far the worst vacation I ever experienced, with all the flight delays, terrible food, and hotels....I would not refer this company to anyone.
