We had a lovely stay at the cottage, it was very clean and comfortable, and Ian was most helpful with information about the local area and other useful tips. Very good value for money, would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Velvet Cottage as a family of five over four nights. We were pleased that it was very clean when we arrived, also cosy despite the chilly weather and had everything we needed. The cottage is in a great area and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The cottage was clean, very comfortable with everything we needed, a super comfy big bed. The location was perfect for walking, eating and drinking and lovely and quiet. The drying room was a bonus as the time of year with a dog and muddy walks helped massively. Ian and Yvonne kept in touch to check we had everything we needed. Will visit again.

An excellent stay at Velvet Cottage which has all the facilities needed for a short break in a lovely location. The views are stunning and there are plenty of nice walks starting and finishing at the cottage. The cottage was warm and cosy, spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable. Ian and Yvonne are superb hosts who are very helpful and sent lots of information before our visit. We will definitely return.

The cottage was in a perfect position with beautiful views but the property was damp and made for two very uncomfortable nights. We left before our stay was due to end due to this problem. However the owner did refund most of our money.

Great place to stay and great location. Velvet cottage is nice and cosy, with great view's. Some lovely walk's right on the door step. Ideal place for Llandgollen and Horseshoe pass. Ian & Yvonne e-mailed us with some useful information on different walks, in which we appreciated Would definitely go back.

This was our second stay at Velvet Cottage. It's a great place. Ian and Yvonne made sure we had all the information we needed before we arrived. It's such a lovely cottage with lots of great walks, beautiful views and we can't wait to go back at Easter next year.

Brilliant communication as soon as we'd booked, the cottage was easy to find with a good sized parking space. Roomy enough inside for a group of 5, lovely setting with several pubs close by and lots of local walks too. We will be back.
