I had difficulty when I was in Nigeria and needed money to transfer to myself. They made sure they were dealing with me by properly verifying my identity (Bank Statement, Drivers License and a Selfie of myself). All for my protection and I was able to initiate the transfer after verification.

I don't understand why you ask for a selfie, government ID and utility bill, before i can successfully transfer money. It doesn't make sense. I use world remit too, and they never ask for these irrelivancies. It sounds absurd, unnecessary and criminal.

Asked to cancel, was refunded my money, four days later still charged me.

First time experience and it was within minutes to Nigeria! I am very pleased. Will definitely use the service regularly now
