I was just moved from a difficult property by glen and wayde at Pykes movers. Not only were they so much cheaper, they had a sense of humor which is what you need on a stressful move day. The trades person we hired via hipages took our deposit but did not complete the job. They did not respond to calls, txts or emails. Hipages said they were able to act as a mediator to resolve the issue but could not force him to refund the deposit or complete the job. The police were also unable to help as the man had started preparation works and it would be considered a contract dispute not a theft and suggested we go to vecat.

Received quick responses to my add and was able to engage a plasterer within 24hrs.

Matthew Gauci from Yellow & Black electrical was hired by us to install 18 downlights, some dimmers & replace a couple of switches in our home. He attended to the job promptly once we agreed to his quote & showed professionalism & pride in his work throughout the process. He was a good communicator who made sure we were happy with the finished job. He always answered his phone & was more than happy to listen to us when a problem arose & acted promptly to resolve some minor issues with the dimmers. We found him to be a very good electrician who was efficient, honest & trustworthy. Both my husband & myself are pleased with the standard of his work & will definitely use him again if needed.

Hipages connected me with 4 interested parties, 2 of which proceeded to give me a quote for my job. The first company did not follow through with a final quote and didn't contact me with an explanation. He just went quiet. One of the 4 promised me a quote within 24hrs, but I did not hear from him either. The final company was terrific. Within 24hrs I had a quote, the next day I had a 3D diagram and 3 days after the initial contact I signed up to have the job done. Great service and whilst the job has not started yet I feel very confident that it will proceed smoothly and that I will be happy with the final product.

I needed some plumbing done to our laundry taps mand connections to the washing machine.! I have used Hipages before and know that they will endeavour to find a good plumber. The tradesman I chose gave me good advice re the work needed to fix the problem. I am quite satisfied with the work done and may call him again if I need further assistance.!
