I have not heard from my creditors, so I know you are talking to them often. I thank you for that ! You have fixed some accounts already, which I am pleased with. I had originally signed with Huron with 3 accounts, the biggest was Discover credit card, and it was the one I had to drop from the program because they were unable to come to an agreement with them. Huron did not sound too surprised that this happened, stating this is a difficult company to get to come to an agreement. Had I been given this information in the beginning, I would not have signed up with Huron. I feel they really need to work on explaining this program with a lot more detail, using examples such as mine. In hindsight, it makes sense why Discover wouldn't settle my account, as I can't imagine any company waiting almost 4 years to receive a payment on an account, closed or otherwise. After working hard on improving my credit score, I feel I will never get that back. I struggled with giving a 4 star rating, because of the customer service. More often than not, my experiences with Huron staff were great, in all honesty. I feel I had to call a few times for updates, but everyone was accommodating as they could be. Had the Discover account been the first account that got worked on, this could have very easily been a 5 star rating. Had they been a little more forthcoming at the very beginning about not being able to work the amount of the credit card settlement, I would have tried to work harder with Discover themselves to figure this out. Of course, had I not gotten myself in a predicament that needed me to turn to a settlement company to help pay off my debts, I wouldn't be commenting on Huron not being able to settle my account. All in all, a pleasant experience.
