turboSMTP support made my day! BRAVO!

I am not technical, but am trying to set up a bulk mail newsletter for my client mailing list, and turboSMTP support got me one huge step closer to my goal! I had to configure the DNS on my Freehostia website server for this to happen, even though I have no idea what a DNS is, not to mention how to configure it. I contacted my website host at Freehostia.com and asked for help, but was only given technical directions that I could not understand. To my dismay, after politely asking for further clarification, I was flat out refused any further help by Freehosia service personal named Pete Lewis. Not having any other choice I contacted turboSMP, and explained my technical difficulties and to my great joy, the staff ( Nermine and Dina) immediately offered to log in to my Freehostia account, and do this configuration for me - - - How kind and helpful of them!! Due to their great, and really beyond expectations service, all could be resolved within the hour, when I do not know how long I would have to struggle trying to solve this issue, if I had to do it on my own only using the technical pointers from Freehostia... Mind you, I`m not even a paying customer of TurboSMTP yet, only a free demo user! but I am definitely looking forwards to be able to start the paid service with them as soon as I finish my setup! By the way, there is one more important point I`d like to mention- they have fair pricing, and even more importantly for me, a very comfortable payment plan! Since I have about 2000 customers, but only send 4-5 mails a year to them, a monthly fee turns out extremely expencive for me, but they also offer a `pay as you go` system- so I can get the service I need for a very reasonable price considering the amount of use I will be making of their services. for some reason `pay as you go` payment plans are very rare in bulk email platforms (mailchimp etc..)- so as it looks right now, turboSMTP is the host for me - I just wish they also offered web hosting, because I think I am through with freehostia for their unhelpful services- but I will save this rant for a separate review of Freehostia, that I will be making next. Thank you Dina and Nermine for making my day !

Great company to work with. Very strong customer service and support. Just rectified our issue within a couple of minutes. Their 24/7 online support is a great perk, as someone is always there to assist.

Poor support and unreliable service

I've had to write this as personal review for the company I work for as I can't do it via a business account. But I'm so incensed by their staff's attitude I feel it necessary to warn others. Unbelievably, we had actually been using their service since 2015 which makes their treatment of us as a loyal customer even more deplorable! Recently their QoS has rapidly gone downhill, leaving us no choice but to cancel the service. They are quick to penalise users and cancel accounts without warning or reason if you suddenly do something they deem against "policy". Their shared IP addresses are constantly blacklisted because they allow spammers to use their service which then affects other users on the same IP. We were forced to cancel because they left our account on a blacklisted IP (and wanted $400 for a dedicated one!), so we were unable to reply to legitimate customers. They left support tickets in limbo without reply or resolution but are happy to continue to collect the monthly subscription. At this point we have still not had confirmation of our cancellation or if we will receive a refund of this month's subscription (as we were only a few days in before we decided enough is enough). Incredibly unprofessional support (1st line are absolutely clueless, 2nd line never seem to resolve) and service and I will be forwarding the correspondence to PayPal to try and retrieve this month's wasted subscription. Avoid. 👎 EDIT: End of May, finaly received refund and cease of service. I still cannot recommend this company as they simply gave up with their service and support.
