We had a survey done on our home by Edward Stanley who was informative and assured in his assessment. We were looking at different surveyors but after that visit we decided we would have a survey done by yourselves on the property we are purchasing.

Used Helen at Walker Dunn Ltd twice to survey houses that we where looking to buy. As first time house buyers didn't really know what to look out for, Helen saved us from buying a house that would of cost us a lot of money sorting out damp issues that we hadn't spotted. Even rung and spoke to her about the report and things she suggested going back to have a look at and her overall view on the property, which as a first time buyer is very daunting having to pay a lot of money for a home that might not be suitable. So it was really reassuring that I had someone to help us! Second house, again with Helen, got us in super quick and the report back to us in amazing time and now we are in the process of buying that house. Very efficient service and not very costly

My mortgage provider subcontracted the task of survey to a Nottingham company who selected Walker Dunn. Pos survey it became apparent that despite reporting a crack in the pebble dashed chimney stack major issues such as encroachment of next door's kitchen extension overhanging my garden outbuilding was missed as was a total absence of carbon monoxide alarm where a wood burner was present. Following a series of complaints a senior representative of Walker Dunn visited in an attempt to whitewash the issues after I had pointed out the flaws in his survey. His defence was twofold : the report's recommendation to have the stove inspected prior to purchase and his belief that I should have seen the encroachment at viewing and acted accordingly. Sheer incompetence and a waste of money. I would not trust this company to tell me the correct time
