I thoroughly enjoyed the Intro to…

I thoroughly enjoyed the Intro to Graphic Design course and feel it gave me the basics of how to use Adobe Illustrator. Tutors were friendly and gave good feedback. I definitely would have enrolled onto a longer course if I could have afforded it

MDL is amazing!

I recently participated in the 12-month graphic design course that exceeded my expectations in every way. Live meeting sessions, outstanding learning materials, and supportive instructors made this program exceptional. It is highly relevant and useful in the real world. Live meeting sessions were a standout feature of this course. They allowed direct interaction with both instructors and fellow students. The sessions were well-structured and provided opportunities for open discussion, encouraging us to dive deeper into the subject and gain insights from different perspectives. These interactive meetings provided an ideal platform for clarifying doubts, sharing ideas, and receiving personalized feedback on our projects. The quality of the learning materials provided was truly impressive. The course curriculum covered a wide range of essential graphic design topics. From design theory fundamentals to advanced techniques, each module was presented in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand manner. The course materials on their website include video tutorials, written guides, and practical exercises. One aspect that stood out to me was the instructors' dedication and expertise. The teachers were knowledgeable and genuinely invested in our learning journey. They were available to assist us throughout the course, promptly answering our questions and providing valuable guidance. Their constructive feedback played a pivotal role in our design growth. What sets this online graphic design course apart is its emphasis on real-world applications. The projects and assignments were designed to simulate real client briefs. This way, we developed our skills in a professional context. By working on practical assignments, our designs met industry standards and client expectations. The course also provided insights into building a successful design career. Overall, my experience with this online graphic design course was exceptional. The combination of live meeting sessions, outstanding learning materials, and supportive instructors ensured a transformative learning journey. MDL welcomes anyone from anywhere to enroll in their courses. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone looking to acquire or enhance graphic design skills. Whether you are just starting out in design or a professional designer.

November 2022 Review

Overall, I had a great experience during the 4.5 month graphic design course with Masters Design Lab. The program offered a lot of interesting material and I really enjoyed the live Studio sessions. These live sessions were great ways to interact with other students and to get real time feedback on work from the professors. This program does involve quite a big time commitment and there is a lot of assignment work, but because I enjoyed the work that I was doing, I didn't mind this. There were a few times that I felt as though the communication with professors and the coordination team was a bit slow, however, this was not a huge issue. I would definitely recommend this course and I'm excited for potential new opportunities following this experience.

Wonderful!

I had such a wonderful time during my 9-week course with MDL. The content was very structured and I felt the lecturers had so much experience to share with us students. I feel like I would've liked a bit more direction in the beginning as it took us a moment to realize what we were supposed to be doing and when, but overall it was a great 9-week program!

Informative and interesting content

This was a really informative and interesting course which I have really enjoyed and learned so much! Although it was a course that was for personal knowledge rather than to lead on to a career in graphic design, I have learned a lot of useful lessons that I will be and am implementing in my current job as a project manager. I highly recommend the course content.

I have never done any graphic design…

I have never done any graphic design before and was nervous about taking this course, but I was surprised at how easy to understand it was. The teachers are great and have a wealth of information and experience that they get across well in teaching you. I took the 9-week course and would have loved to stay on and complete the full 12 months but I haven't the time at the moment. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn graphic design.

The tutors were helpful and responsive…

The tutors were helpful and responsive to student inquiries, which I appreciated. However, although I'm grateful for their introductory 9-week course in graphic design, I believe there are areas where the program could be further improved. While I prefer not to delve into specific details here, I initially had high hopes for a better experience by continuing with the program. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. I had previously written and posted a review without mentioning my concerns because I had already reached out to the school via email, hoping they would address those issues. However, my concerns remained unaddressed even after my initial email, which prompted me to revise and update my original review. If I were to leave the original review on this platform now, I believe it would be disingenuous and misleading. I would advise prospective students to carefully review the reading material of each course to determine if it aligns with their needs and preferences before fully committing. As I've said before, I believe there are areas that could benefit from improvement. For instance, I noticed some grammatical errors in the course material, which is something that should be given attention to maintain the quality of the program. Additionally, I found it inconvenient to click on links within the course material only to be directed to Wikipedia pages. As paying students, we expect original and reliable content. I also want to mention that I understand the school may not offer formal degrees, but that should not exempt it from adhering to proper standards and delivering a satisfactory learning experience. I believe open and constructive dialogue with the school could help address these concerns and improve the overall quality of the program. I would also like to emphasize that I am open to engaging in a productive and constructive conversation with the school regarding my concerns. I believe that discussing the issues in detail and finding effective solutions would be more beneficial than engaging in a back-and-forth exchange on this platform. It is my sincere hope that the school will be receptive to addressing the concerns raised by students and working towards enhancing the overall learning experience. Being a graphic design school, and not 'pretending to write academic papers,' should not be a premise for justifying grammatical errors or poor sentence structure within courses, and for leaving those unaddressed instead of dealing with the issues pointed out by students. After all, it is a course being taught in English. The design school where I will be continuing my studies offers written courses and portals, providing a satisfactory alternative. There are other issues beyond grammatical errors that I chose not to include in my review - issues that surfaced after my original review, which is why I have adjusted the rating to two stars. This is also why I prefer not to discuss these matters in detail on this platform. Instead of attempting to justify the issues mentioned here (which were already raised via email a few months ago), I had hoped that the school would take a different approach and address the concerns, rather than trying to discredit me by highlighting that my first review was written under a 'fake name' and mentioning that I completed the course six months ago. Such actions come across as an attempt to portray me as malicious and disingenuous when there may be other reasons why I chose to leave the review this time using a different account. Thank you for considering my feedback. I hope my feedback will be taken into consideration, as my intention is to contribute to the betterment of the program for future students. Thank you

Great introduction to the graphic design industry

I enrolled in the 4.5 month course and I really enjoyed my experience overall! The tutors were friendly and insightful and their knowledge and expertise of the design industry was clear throughout. The live sessions were helpful in giving and receiving real time feedback, and also a great opportunity to get to know and learn from like minded people. Some weeks were quite demanding in terms of work load and assigments, particularly if you are working full-time as well as taking part in the course, but the tutors are accomodating when needed.

This is an excellent course

This is an excellent course. It delivered so much more than I was expecting. The experience with MDL from the beginning was very impressive. They were attentive, helpful and with excellent customer service compared to other Graphic Design courses that I was exploring at the time. The content of work is so interesting, relevant and very thorough. It’s a course you can completely submerse yourself into the world of design and learn so much. You also get to learn alongside other students across the globe whom I have found very inspiring. The tutors are amazing with real time experience of the design industry. I found their live sessions and assignment feedback so useful and encouraging. The knowledge provided for portfolio development and how to navigate into the industry as an in-house designer or freelancer is impressive too. Anyone considering Graphic Design and this course, from my experience its money very well spent.

Challenging and Fruitful Programs

The program of Masters Design Lab is very challenging and fruitful. They are offering the program of Graphic design from several directions, and it gave me a wide range of perspectives. You can learn with your cohort together on each semester, and it would encourage you and give you different ways of thinking.
