When the stores finally opened after…

When the stores finally opened after covid restrictions we were in need of couches after downsizing and moving into a condo. First store we went to is Chesterfield Shop on Dundas st. In Mississauga. Sandra really came through for us to make the most of the space we had to work with. Thank you Sandra! Our sofa bed is awesome and we can't wait to to get our sectional! Thanks again.

6 months and still waiting no furniture and no call

On the 5th of January 2021 I placed an order for a chesterfield sofa two Wingback chairs and a footstool totalling in £3100 the sofa company tuck the payment on the 5th of January and I heard nothing so on the 14th of January I called to see if the order was ok and asked was there any delays I was told no delays and the order would be with me between 8 to 12 weeks when I got off the phone I received acknowledgement and receipt of my order so after the call I felt assured my furniture would arrive on time. Week 12 arrived no sofa/furniture I rang every week only to told due to covid there is a delay, for anyone who cares we had covid in January when I rang about my order, Week 16 arrived and eventually the sofa was on the way. The sofa arrived well wrapped and by two very helpful delivery men however unwrapping the furniture I was full of shock rather than delight (the footstool had 2 legs smaller than the others rocking from side to side) ( the antique leather dye on one of the wing armchairs was over rubbed and a different shade than the others and didn’t match and looked ridiculous) The sofa My goodness (the leather had a gash/chunk out of the corner ) (3 scratches) (a really bad fold on the arm) ( a bad crease in the leather) (two long slash marks done with some sharp object ) (I went to put the wooden feet on the bottom of the sofa but the bolts just fell into the base and feet couldn’t be fitted) I rang the chesterfield company to inform of the damage and my dissatisfaction but they automatically said it must have been the delivery men who damaged the furniture I corrected them and said no the delivery men did a good job in protecting the furniture and I’ve just unwrapped it in front of them so insult to injury after spending £3100 for a new undamaged sofa and chairs the girl on the phone offered some solutions (Put pads on the footstool to make the make the legs the same size so it don’t rock) (could I cut the bottom of the sofa and get the bolts and glue them back in) ( they would send someone out and repair) (send it back for repair) ( or a £300 refund and I get someone to repair it myself ) I said the refund of £300 on a £3100 damaged good was an insult and she needed to do better and she just laughed down the phone and said no I don’t think so. Feeling insulted I asked them to take the sofa back and deal with all the issues. The furniture was collected on the 11th of May its now the 21st of June I have rang every week asking for my furniture and just been told It’s in production I have asked for the manager to call me many times and nothing no call and no furniture. The chesterfield company have the cheek to email me asking to give a review on a product I don’t have and their 0 customer service skills. It’s 6 months later I still have no furniture had no phone call from the manager and felt very let down by the chesterfield company. I’m sure the chesterfield company will twist and have some excuses or blame the customer with a negative response to my review but its just the truth is I’m £3100 out of pocket and no furniture SO NO I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THE CHESTERFIELD COMPANY I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU STAY CLEAR.

Both times it was a straight forward transaction, delivery was prompt, and the driver was polite and helpful... although the leather we wanted wasn't available due to supply details a replacement was chosen and the order was given priority the delivery was within 2 weeks ,efficient delivery and unpacking and assemble very pleased with products

Excellent, authentic Chersterfield sofas, very solid and comfortable, you don't sink into them, they have quite a firm but supremely comfortable feel. The leather is top quality too and they're solid in an old school kind of way. This isn't cheap 'always having a sale' furniture it's more like future antiques at half the price of most other quality shops. Recommended.
