Cameron came out quickly after our initial inquiry, discussed the options, reviewed prices and told us how long the manufacture of the double bifold blinds would take. Fantastic service from Cameron who has the experience and expertise to order the part needed to repair a broken blind mechanism. The part had to be ordered from another country and he kept us updated every step of the way. He personally came to the house to carry out the blind repair and was done in a flash! Excellent Customer Service
Cameron at Cambridge Blinds was excellent in helping us identify a solution to our challenging project. We needed to retain the heat in our apartment in the winter, but also keep the heat out during the hot weather. We have large double height windows, so now have electric Duette blinds to resolve the cold issue and Ultimetal roller blinds to reflect the heat in the summer. Cambridge Blinds provided excellent customer service and overcame the technical challenges of erecting blinds against uneven ceilings and window frames. We are very pleased with the end result, especially as the blinds are so neat and modern in appearance. Thank you Cambridge Blinds!

The only choice for curtains and blinds.
Well, where to start…. I had recently completed a major and long-term restoration/renovation at my house. This included many relatively new technologies and smart systems throughout the house. Among these were numerous and varied automatic curtains and blinds, operated in three ways; In the case of the curtains, by physical touch (a gentle pull in one direction or the other, thereafter completed by the automation). Remote control. Voice operation. There were also blinds of one sort or another throughout the property, including one blackout blind in a bedroom and two very large, heavy specialist acoustic curtains in a small cinema room. Unfortunately, for reasons it would be unnecessary to go into here, the installation was less than perfect and problems had been present from the start. Couldn’t get all of the units to speak to the same hub, one unit would operate whilst triggering another inside the house, handsets that should’ve been present were missing, one unit was completely non-operational et cetera et cetera. This had been an issue ongoing for many months over the course of the renovation and was indeed one of the last problems to be resolved. Several people other than the original installer, all of whom had opinions which were at least worth listening to, had looked into it and while some ground was made, there were still many problems... Enter Cameron. My intelligent systems technician found our noble protagonist on the Internet and things immediately got better. On his first visit, he was able to immediately identify one of the core problems which had eluded everybody, including the original installer. Motors in some of the units were mismatched to the control units and hub, therefore stumbling the connection and communication process and further more hindering setting up parameters, such as at what points curtains and blinds should stop, et cetera. He was further able to identify that two handsets were missing and two others were not really appropriate for the job I was also able to ascertain, with his accumulated wisdom, that a second hub I had been erroneously advised to purchase by another individual, was surplus to requirements and in actual fact making things worse by creating a conflict of communication… As an added bonus to that particular cock-up, he was even able to advise me where best I might manage to sell said item, in the hopes of recouping most of my unnecessarily spent pounds. In short, I was well and truly up the creek with this whole system and was facing weeks, if not months, of painstakingly slow research and discovery by both myself, my electrician, my intelligent systems technician, et cetera et cetera, to work out what Cameron breezed through and nailed in about an hour and a half in total, over the course of two visits. On top of that, my mother immediately warmed to him and was hugging him and giggling cheekily almost immediately. 🙄 Do I need to say any more people? I cannot begin to describe how much I wish I had come across Cameron at the beginning of my job all of those many months ago now. Not only would’ve made my life so much easier regarding that element of my own renovation, I am by profession a property developer at a small scale and could’ve used his services on several of my projects in the past. I’ve spent most of my life, both as a child and adult, around the building profession in one way or another, through my father’s endeavours and laterally my own. I know a straight shooter when I meet one and I know high quality workmanship, knowledge and application to task when I see it. I’m very glad to have added him to my list of trades people and if you have any requirements that his skills could address, I would very strongly suggest you do the same! Don’t be like me people. Get him in at the beginning of the job and do it right from the start rather, than getting him in at the end to fix everyone else’s cock ups!
Really positive experience, Great blinds, and dealt with supplier challenges well
Cameron did a great job helping us spec and agree a blind solution that met all our needs. It was different to what we originally planned, but a much better fit. The blinds were matched perfectly to the windows via RAL colour and the materials on offer were good. There were challenges with the material supplier, out of Cameron’s control, but he kept pursuing them and making sure they were getting the blinds to us as soon as possible. I felt he was in our corner the whole way along. Install was quick and efficient, and nicely done. Cameron and his colleague made sure we were happy before we left. He also showed flexibility on an add-on we didn’t need. Overall a great experience.
Weinor Awning from Cambridge Blinds
When we started we knew nothing about awnings other than that we wanted one to cover our new patio area. After looking at some national companies we decided to contact Cambridge Blinds who are fairly local to us. Cameron Brookes came to see us and it was clear from the first moment we met him that he was very knowledgeable and able to recommend a perfect solution for our needs. With his guidance we chose a Weinor Cassitta II awning with inbuilt lights and wind/sun sensor. We were that impressed with Cameron and his professionalism that we decided to order from Cambridge Blinds and not get any quotes elsewhere. The awning was fitted two weeks ago and we have been very pleased with it. The superior design and quality of the Weinor product compared to other manufacturers we had looked at made it an easy decision to choose this awning. We have been very pleased we chose Cambridge Blinds to supply and fit our awning, and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

First class job from Cambridge…
We ordered a nice awning from Cambridge blinds and have now just had it fitted. Time from order to completion was very close to the time scale quoted. We found Cameron Brooks very helpful and the entire fitting went smoothly despite a challenging job to get the awning to the fitting site. We chose this awning as it was the only one that could supply the case and brackets in a colour that matched the surrounding woodwork. We can throughly recommend this firm they are very efficient.
