Lee and the team at ELAS have provided an excellent service over the past year. In payroll no sooner have the figures been sent to them they return a completed pay run. For advise from HR they have always been clear and provided a written account by email of the conversation so it can be referred to. I would have no problem recommending them based on this years experience.

Appalling; avoid at all costs

It was only after the flashy salesmen had signed us up that we discovered the truth. Slow. Incompetent. Arrogant. Far from an HR support and protection, their continuous errors and dilatory timescales put us at risk. Their service was SO bad we ended up finding another provider and paid for both services to run concurrently for 3 months till their contract ended (ie ended up paying twice) just to ensure we did have the support we needed.

More transparency needed to ensure customer complaints are heard and handled effectively.

I first contacted ELAS in January 2020 to gain some clarity around their contractual terms. Eight months later, and having sent emails to several people at various levels within the company, as well as sending communication by recorded mail (which is the only way customers are able to cancel a service with ELAS), my questions remain unanswered and the issues surrounding my queries remain unheard. There needs to be a greater level of transparency for customers who have cause for complaint. For example, on the ELAS website there is very limited information regarding their complaints process, complaints policy or complaints procedure. Nor is there any information relating to the Senior Management Team or details regarding who customers can contact if they have been unable to resolve their complaint internally. This, in itself, makes making a complaint difficult. I wrote a letter of complaint to ELAS's Compliance team which was delivered by recorded delivery on Monday 27th July. On Tuesday 28th July, I received an email reply explaining that ELAS was investigating the issues I'd raised and I'd hear back from them no later than 15 working days from that date. The email stated that if, for any reason, ELAS was unable to conclude their investigation and provide me with an outcome within the agreed timeframe, ELAS would let me know in writing as soon as possible and provide a revised date when I might hear back from them. 16 working days later, having had no further update, I emailed the compliance team back asking for an update. I received no reply. Now, some 29 days later, I am still awaiting a reply and have had no further contact. My personal experience with ELAS has been very disappointing and many other reviews here seem to share that opinion. I hope that ELAS urgently review their current Customer Service procedures to ensure similar failings and disappointments don't continue for other customers and I'd invite them to provide me with details of whom I may contact (other than the compliance team) to escalate my concerns which remain unaddressed.

We are a small start up independent…

We are a small start up independent restaurant with only 6 employees. Due to COVID 19 we had to close the business and can only hope that we will be able to reopen and survive somehow .They provided me with employee handbook and 1 health and safety visit during our first month in October. Since them used their services only month while always paid my monthly fees. They are our only contracted company who refused to not just cancel but even to temporary suspend my contract while we are closed. It is absolutely shocking the lack of understanding and sympathy what we got from them. Super disappointed,

ELAS are a great company

ELAS are a great company. We use their payroll service, Legal services and training. We are based in Cardiff and have been using ELAS services for a number of years now. The service we have received has been second to none. The payroll is completed fast and to a very high standard, If there are any questions emails are answered in no time flat and we have never been left waiting on the phone. When you phone ELAS you can always talk to a person quickly and the friendly attitude of everyone we have spoken to is brilliant. The legal team are always there for us making a great effort to ensure contracts and handbooks are relevant to our needs. We have had a few extremely stressful situations and the calmness of the Legal team together with their high levels of knowledge has been able to put our minds at rest straight away. The trainers on the courses are excellent. on one occasion overcoming problems caused by the venue provider the trainer just got on with it, overcoming any hurdles. The staff have really enjoyed their training. We would honestly recommend this company to anyone running a business With ELAS supporting us we always feel there is someone on our side.
