2 Years with our Heat Pump

2 years ago we bought a heat pump from Greener Energy. It seemed costly at the time but with the govt subsidy it was actually not much more than a replacement oil fired boiler. The installation happened during lockdown and was done quickly and with minimum fuss. Subsequently, the savings made are likely to recover our expenditure comfortably. The system has been serviced twice so far by GE's engineers who have always been prompt, efficient and offered useful tips on running the system. Martin was particularly helpful in his advice and passing on their experiences of the system. Overall this has been a very good experience.

Problem with heating system.

My hot water cut off and I phoned several times to report it. About a couple of hours later they phoned me and gave advice plus said that Martin was working near by and would visit. He came very shortly after that. He showed me what to do and set my programme. He saw that I had possibly put the whole system off by putting my coat next to the switch.

The company has tried to fix the system…

The company has tried to fix the system but still now not working. There are leaks so hot water is only available and apparently some heating upstairs. The original installers were very rude and non cooperative and so defensive. Shame we just wanted a new heating system- so still waiting since April 26th -its now nearly August....

ASHP had it's first annual service

ASHP had it's first annual service. Douglas, who had done the original survey, carried out the service and told us what that entailed. He reported that everything was fine and he changed the timing for the hot water to heat, as we requested. All fine till we had no hot water the following day. Contacted Greener Energy and Kirsty took the details and had Douglas give us a call and the problem was rectified over the phone- a simple fix. Douglas was very helpful and we are happy to continue to use Greener Energy for future servicing.

Very easy to work with

Very easy to work with from the initial survey right through to the completed installation. Spare a thought for your sparkies though. The battery and invertor are heavy, fortunately I’m fit and able and could help get them into the attic.

Overall a great experience

The friendly sales rep, Munro gave us a comprehensive introduction to solar panels and battery storage sufficient to the point where we decided to place an order for a 12 panel array, battery storage and an EV charge point. Following that consultation the office staff kept us up to date with the progress. The panel installers were due to arrive around 12pm but were held up on the way by a road crash which closed a main trunk road. We were advised that they would not be able to come until the next day however, after driving around a long diversion route, they arrived around dinner time and had the panels fitted in no time. They were all friendly and tidy workers who cleared up after themselves. Due to those unforeseen circumstances the electrician was then unable to come until the following week; not his fault as he was booked for other jobs. The following week Daniel arrived and after trying many different options he was unable to carry out the work due to us wanting the battery and therefore the inverter, installed in our garage along with the EV charge point. He had not been advised of this prior to arriving on site. After much head scratching we put off the installation until the following week until I could excavate part of our driveway so the cabling could be routed from the house to the garage. When Daniel returned he could not have been more helpful and in fact went over and above (and underground) and completed the installation to our requirements and satisfaction. If I had to make any recommendations it would be for closer liaison between sales staff and installers particularly with regard to the siting of equipment prior to installers arriving on site as this could prevent delays or other issues. We would happily recommend Greener Energy Group to any prospective customers.

The system working really well

The system seems to be working really well and it has made a substantial difference to our bills. We had a few installation issues probably due to the existing system ,greener energy fixed them without charge.
