Having had completed and passed my Level 2 Gym Instructor Practical Assessment at the OriGym Liverpool assessment centre the other day, I can confirm that the experience was much less nerve wracking than anticipated! This was my first time ever participating in any sort of practical assessment and in coaching another individual. Coming from a background/ industry completely unrelated to health and fitness, I felt a bit apprehensive before entering the assessment centre. However, once I was in I immediately felt better after speaking to some of the assessors and to other students also undertaking their assessments. Jemma was my assessor for the day. She was kind, welcoming, and made me feel at ease before the start of the assessment. She explained everything in detail, allowed me enough time to ask whatever questions I had and provided me with thorough and effective feedback at the end. Overall, it was a very positive experience and has made me excited to eventually return to complete my Level 3 assessment!
