DezrezLegal provided me with the incorrect information about our flat purchase. They stated by email and subsequent calls that we were buying a leasehold property with a share of the freehold. After we completed that was incorrect and we only purchased a leaseholder property. It will cost over £30K to buy the share of the freehold and have ground rent charges each year too. Do not trust them to provide accurate information. Do not trust them to put things right They have admitted the error and incorrect advice but not put me in the position which they advised we were buying. Except go speak to their lawyers who now say we need to take them to court to rectify their mistake. Just a note to readers following DezRez's reply. The offer was for £2k. £2k for a £30k mistake which is falling to us. These are the sorts of people you'll be dealing with.
