Had my car booked in for a tyre change…

Had my car booked in for a tyre change on Saturday 1st April at 8.30, had a phone call at 8.00 to tell me tyre had not arrived. Was told they would ring around to try and get me another tyre and would phone me back. Quess what, no phone call, I had to phone around myself to find someone else to fit it, I had to drive 25 miles to get another tyre fitted. This has happened 3 times before at ocean bmw torbay. I have been a customer for about 15 years and I think your customer service is appalling, I would definitely not recommend ocean bmw to anyone.

Customer service beyond a joke

Customer service beyond a joke - absolutely hopeless. Brand new car developed fault - even though in warranty period won’t provide courtesy car - constantly told works will be done tomorrow but they keep pushing back. Waited two weeks (so far). The part came last week but now another delay as they don’t have the required tool to fit the part - trying to source the tool - told will be another 5 days! 🤷‍♂️🙄 Go to Westerley In Exeter instead of in South West

I’m afraid I cannot recommend Ocean Torbay Mini. I booked service for my mini online, then was called to reschedule for two weeks later. Fine. I booked courtesy transport, was told on arrival it was not available. Fine. I arrived at 8.30am and was told the car will be ready after lunch. I went to the reception desk at 2pm to be told they haven’t started working on the car yet. Appalling communication, poor customer service. I have been driving different cars in 4 countries for over 20 years, this is the worst service I have experienced. Wasted the entire day. This is very disappointing as there are many positive reviews online, yet my experience was negative. The person at the reception was arrogant. Ended up waiting all day waiting for my car to be serviced!

Had my car in for 2 recalls,

Had my car in for 2 recalls, No problem at all . They informed me it required an oil service & brake fluid change, carried out with great service , took the car home & found it wouldn’t lock ? Called 3 times & was promised a call back ? Never happened ? It’s now 22.32 lol , I’m not expecting anything now !! Main dealer !! Joke , don’t get this with my Aston !! I’ve purchased at least 4 vehicles from this group ? Poor customer service

Ocean BMW Penryn Service department.

Visited Ocean BMW Penryn to have my car serviced and a minor fault investigated. I was looked after by Keri-Ann, (hopefully spelling is not too far out) who kept me informed and was professional and courteous throughout my visit. Fault was rectified at very low cost. Car was spotless on collection. (Addition) I did enquire about having a satnav update but was told mine was up to date. I have checked the version installed which is 2021-3 so not the latest version.

Ocean BMW Plymouth

Ocean BMW Plymouth Bought my Gran Coupe Sport in March 22 with a comprehensive 12month warranty. Just before Xmas my windscreen washers packed up but had to wait till the NY. No problem with that, went in early Jan. Was told in the afternoon that the bottle was contaminated and I hadn`t used the correct BMW washer fluid and as such had contaminated the bottle !! I would need a replacement at £309 !!and guess what not under warranty, theres a surprise. They also threw the bottle away so I couldnt see it. Unfortunately its the usual aftersales service we have all come to expect. Apparently with all the improvements in design they have put the washer bottle somewhere else, this being somewhere else that takes hours to get to and charge you extortinate rates to access, what an improvement that is !! Previously in Oct I had an oil and filter change done by them thinking about maintaining the warranty. They charged £320.00 for that, another bargain. They also did a video health check and said that there was a puncture in my rear tyre that couldn`t be repaired because of where it was and said it would need a new tyre. I took the car to a tyre garage nearby who said it could be repaired easily and no need for a new tyre. Think we are all used to seeing scams daily by emails but don`t expect this type of service from BMW. Won`t be going there again and advise anyone else to do the same.

Trustworthy and friendly

Thankyou so much to Tayler Curno and Ocean BMW. Dealt with Tayler from the start when enquiring about an used BMW M140i. He was very helpful and gave me all the information I asked for including some photos and service history details. I paid a deposit and collected today having never seen the car in person....I live 100 miles away. Everyone at the Dealership was so friendly and it was a great experience. The car was very well prepared and in great condition and somehow I felt at ease the moment i walked in the door and spoke to the friendly staff. Well Done.....Outstanding! Highly recommended

Ocean BMW Paignton. Boked car in for service with collection and delivery. No call in the morning of collection, so i had to call them. Techs stumped by a simple issue during software update. Returned car, failing to complete the MOT that was booked. "I'll call you back in 5 mins...." Hour later no response. Shocking service.
