Mr Quah is an excellent eye surgeon. Firstly his measurement equipment is state of the art. Secondly, his advice and guidance is very thorough. Finally, the lens replacement surgery is very quick (5 mins) and pain free. I had both lenses replaced, with 4 weeks in between ops. Both times I could see perfectly though the new lens. So for me no downtime, no pain, just used the drops as prescribed. The joy of actually being able to read instructions on cosmetic or food products is simply freeing. I have full strong range of eye sight and am super pleased with the results.

Had confirmation of cataracts forming in both eyes during annual eye check. Due to advances in medicine there was no need to wait until the cataracts grew larger, or hardened. Optician explained available surgery options ie, NHS V Private. Booked an appointment at the local Spire Eye Correction Clinic, based on suggestion from optician as to which consultant to approach. Needed to discuss options and suitability of implants based on tests and the consultants advice. Luckily I was suitable for multifunction implants, which could also correct astigmatism I had in both eyes. Letter explaining all pro's con's I'd discussed with the consultant arrived quickly from the clinic. Surgery booked, with one week gap between each eye. Excellent nursing staff throughout-- I was well cared for before, during and after surgery. After surgery checkups done a week or so later, for each eye. Lots of different eye drops to help healing process. Very good overall experience which has given me excellent sight. Some initial problems with 'confirmation of surgery' letters arriving and payment taking place before surgery. These came from the Spire Hospital accounts dept who were slow to react due to a Bank Holiday and the Coronation long weekend.

Mr Quah recently replaced lenses in both my eyes and the results are amazing, completely life changing and totally exceeded my expectations. I thoroughly recommend Mr Quah and the team at HCA Wilmslow for being friendly, helpful, professional and putting me at ease throughout the whole process. I wish I’d had the surgery done years ago!

Mr Goel and his team are exceptional! Great advice during the consultation, I felt that i was given all the information and advice I needed to make the decision to go ahead. It's difficult to explain how the surgery has changed my vision and therefore the quality of life. Within a day everything was so much clearer and I could read without putting glasses on. I had to wear glasses to drive and also to read and now I don't and it's incredible! I recommend Mr Goel and his team, go for it!

Mr Say Aun Quah replaced cataracts in both my eyes. His explanation of the operation was clear including benefits and risks. This gave me confidence to proceed. The improvement to my vision has exceeded my expectations.

I consulted Mr S Goel and his colleague and found them to be outstanding. I received treatment for two cataracts and I was extremely impressed with their thoroughness and knowledge. Everything went smoothly and every step was explained well so I knew exactly what was happening. This made me feel safe and calm. Mr Goel did my original lens replacement surgery in 2019 and I was very impressed with his care so when I developed PCO he was the obvious choice for my treatment. Although he quoted more than Optegra, I think Optegra have lots of additional charges they like to sneak in (eg. Follow up consultation). Mr Girl’s price was accurate and included follow up. Plus Optegra’s nearest hospital was in Birmingham and I live in Hull so I was able to see Mr Goel just 10 minutes from home. I would highly recommend him and his very kind assistant for their care, particularly if you are a nervous patient.
