The product has been a game changer for…
The product has been a game changer for me! All the benefits of having my sleep apnea treated without having to use CPAP. I travel a lot for work so it’s very convenient to bring with me and my sleep isn’t interrupted. Thank You!!
Where do I start
Where do I start! I am a physician and have used the device for 90 days. I have had had numerous issues with it. Initially after 5 sessions the blue light on the device turned yellow and it stopped working. After multiple chats I was told that the device has a flaw where ‘ moisture’ can get into it and it will not function. I was sent another device. I was only able to do 12 sessions and then it would not let me use it anymore now asking me to ‘order’ a new mouthpiece as it has been over 90 days. I was told that is an FDA regulation. Shocked I asked what if I after the 6 weeks only do 1 session per week, as suggested, will I still have to order a new device every 90 days in perpetuity, the answer was a firm yes.Shocking! Beware of this trap. Very disappointed.
I snore less according to my partner
I snore less according to my partner. My sleep is not perfect but I do sleep better than before I started using the device. I would recommend this device to people who have moderate sleep apnea just to try and see if it works for them.
A great asset for achieving my goal of normal sleep
I was diagnosed with severe OSA in 2019, but responded badly to CPAP treatment. After weight loss, nasal surgery and fitting with a dental appliance, I was able to get my OSA down to a mild level. My doctor recommended eXcite OSA to help me achieve fully normal sleep, and after several months of use, I’ve been delighted with the results. It’s been an excellent complement to my other therapies and my sleep has greatly improved.
I am Mike Yorio husband of Roxanne
I am Mike Yorio husband of Roxanne. She has been using the eXciteOSA for a while. She has mild sleep apnea and her snoring would be loud at times. Since using the device I sometimes have to check on her because the snoring is minimal now. I think it has also helps with her breathing because I haven’t noticed her breathing to stop like it used to. She also does not seem to be as tired as she used to do.
Deserves 4 Stars But..... Needs Improvements
- Device Quality - excellent A+ - Support Q - Phone is excellent/Chat not so much. B - Mobile Ap User Experience - C - Cost of mouth replacement: See note below. Initial everyday use: A. - Cost in maintenance mode therapy: F - Environmental Impact: F (The company needs to find an approach or design where we can ship back the used mouthpiece and it be recycled. AND/Or use materials that are recycled plastic.) Effectiveness of solution is excellent, though I have a med - lite case of snoring. You will know if it is effective before the return policy expires so highly recommended. One major issue I have is the FDA only approved the Rx mouthpiece usable for 3 months. I can understand it if you are using a mouthpiece everyday. In maintenance you may use it 2-3 times per week but the app blocks you out after 90 days. So a completely good working, well maintained mouthpiece has to be replaced. That to me lacks integrity with the entire approach to health and medicine. Solve the problem, run experiments and studies - you know the drill.....so when the patient enters maintenance mode they get a fair return on investment. I could use a mouthpiece (with proper cleaning and care) for 6 months without impact to the outcome of not snoring. (Though I am being forced to change a working mouthpiece every 3 months when I use it only 2-3X per week.) I've stopped therapy and will check-back in 6 months to see if this situation has improved.
eXciteOSA was the missing piece for me
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea but could not tolerate an APAP. I then got a dental appliance that moves the jaw slightly forward which improved my scores but did not get them to the acceptable range. My doctor then had me add the eXciteOSA device in combination with the appliance. I did the daily routine and then moved on to twice-a-week maintenance, and I'm happy to say that a follow-up sleep study confirmed that my apnea was almost entirely eliminated and in the acceptable range. My initial scores were 12.5 events per hour and 26.6 events per hour in the supine position. After using the eXciteOSA in combination with the dental appliance, both scores were less than 5 although I don't have the exact numbers. eXciteOSA really solved the healthy sleep puzzle for me, and I would recommend giving it a try if you cannot tolerate a CPAP/APAP.
My son
My son, Doug, had a liver transplant and subsequent stroke. This was about 7years ago and each year, his snoring and grumpiness had gotten worse. Doug was unable to keep a mask on for sleep apnea and our doctor recommend the eXcite system. It has worked miracles! Doug is sleeping better and his mood has improved and he doesnt mind doing the treatment.
I’ve been using the OSA for a little…
I’ve been using the OSA for a little over 90 days and feel like there’s definite improvement with my snoring ( my wife would certainly concur!). I have very light sleep apnea but was considering a CPAP machine as the snoring was keeping my wife awake at night. Since I’ve started with the OSA my snoring has improved as well as my overall sleep patterns.
I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea…
I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and I snored. My doctor set up an appointment with respiratory specialist and they gave me a cpap machine. I tied a few different face masks and not one of them were comfortable and I couldn’t sleep. Called my doctor and asked her if I could try the Excite osa devise. She said yes and forwarded the prescription to the website. Got my device and within a couple of months I don’t snore and can sleep like a baby. Device is only 20 minutes a day and then even less then that. My insurance didn’t cover the device but it’s worth every penny. All I can say is I love it and no more uncomfortable cpap machines for me.
