I just want to say that I have received such an excellent service from everyone at Chartwell. We weren’t expecting to need a mortgage but when our landlord said he was selling we knew we had to do something quickly. Chartwell (particularly Kane) was with us every step of the way, quickly getting us agreements in principle as we viewed various properties! Kane and Star in their mortgage team have been incredibly helpful. I had an unfortunate situation of having to find another lender and in the same phone call Kane had already found one and begun my application with them. Star was always helpful, answer my questions in a timely manner.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Truthfully I didn’t think I’d be able to get a mortgage anytime soon and would need to keep building my credit score up. Kenny and the Chartwell team turned out to be a true lifeline. I had to change lenders at multiple points throughout the home buying process and Kenny was able to secure me a better interest rates each time. As a first time homebuyer you can only imagine how worried I was. Throughout every stage of the process they were always super responsive and supportive, answering my many questions. Chartwell have helped us remortgage our property to release equity in order to clear off debts accrued during our house renovations and fund the purchase of our new house. I originally spoke to Matt looking for some advice on what we might be able to afford to borrow before we started looking at properties. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about options available to us including the steps we should take to maximize our borrowing potential. Once we'd agreed on the plan, Matt and Abi worked to secure us a remortgage deal in order for us to release equity and clear off the debts that had accrued during our renovation. There was also plenty left to fund the deposit on our new property, which Matt and Abi also secured with a really quick turn around. The turnaround time was important as we had buyers and a new property waiting. Both Matt and Abi were great at keeping us updated on where we were with both applications and were quick to flag if there was anything outstanding or needed from us. Matt has also been helping my parents look at options for retirement interest only (RIO) mortgages to enable them to move back close to our family. Cannot thank Matt and Abi enough for their hard work.
