Disgusting dental practice Oldham.mcr.took deposit for dental work, they cancelled the dentistry and charged me 10 percent of the deposit as an admin fee.

I made an appointment at Synergy Dental for 29 July 2024 then signed up to their Dental plan on 4 July as the plan offers good value and includes the cost of the check up which i was scheduled to have. The plan cost £10 a month with a sign-up fee of £10 and includes two check-ups and hygiene visits. After my consultation I was asked to pay the NHS fee of £26.80 I explained I had signed up for their plan and was told that it was not for NHS Patients. Nowhere on the website does its state that NHS treatments are not included in the plan and therefore I would be paying for the same treatment twice. I pointed this out and was told I had signed up to a 12 month contract and was out of the cooling off period. I contacted the Practice Manager and was told the same I explained that nowhere on their website does it say that the plan is in addition to NHS service but she rejected this and said it was in the T&C which at that point I had not received. She sent them to me on 31 July stating I would have received them direct from their system which I have not. She claimed that the website advertise Private Treatments only and does not include NHS. Nowhere on the website does it state this. Please do not sign up with this company as they will mis-sell you everything they can. The policy is also a rolling contact which you have to cancel three month prior to the end date to stop renewal which says it all.

I went to synergy dentist in Adlington to have a filling done to a wisdom tooth, the job itself was more difficult due to the position of the cavity so as I am a nervous patient it was very daunting. Rebecca and Ellie put me at ease, Rebecca's technique for giving an injection is great so I hardly felt a thing. I was told everything that was going to happen, all in all a very positive experience and I won't be so scared to go again. Thank you lovely ladies. X
