Untrustworthy and unreliable! Do not use
You trust a company to do the right thing during a pandemic. All airlines, hotels, etc all did the right thing and returned money to those whose trips were cancelled. But Explorica is keeping those returns and expecting the insurance company to pay out. That is insurance fraud at its best. I would never use this company again! I will advocate that our school boards locally never use them again either.

Liars! Thieves! BEWARE! BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK! Our son worked so hard to raise money working, use his birthdays money for his trip! Trip was cancelled due to covid in March 2020. No refund as of October 2020. Ball being thrown back and forth between Explorica and insurance company. That's not right! Give him his money back please. Class action lawsuit being looked at for over 3000 students who are going through the same thing. Shame on you EXPLORICA!

Europe trip cancelled. No refund…
We purchased a trip through our school for our daughter. She was supposed to go to Europe in April 2020 and the trip was cancelled due to COVID. Because our trip was cancelled within 30 days of departure Explorica said they did not have to refund us. They however never even paid for our airline tickets so they profited thousands of dollars. We had purchased cancellation insurance but Explorica and the insurance company Arch are fighting between themselves and we’ve now been waiting for over 7 months for our refund. There are thousand of claims equaling into the millions. I will never again book a trip through Explorica and I as well as many others have written to our school board to make sure they never approve another trip through this company. While many people are struggling Explorica has profited off children because of the pandemic. Shame on you Explorica.

Still waiting for the refund from my daughters trip in April. They are playing games with the insurance company. And we are being held hostage in their games.
Worst travel company ever.
Worst travel company ever. My daughter was scheduled to go on a trip on March break to Europe. Due to Covid it was cancelled. This company took all the credits from Air Canada flights, the Louve and other parts of the trip and 1. Would not release them back to us and 2. Would not disclose them to the insurer. Don’t use them. They are fraudulent and deceitful.

I’m giving them a 1 star because I can’t give a zero. Fact: my son booked a school trip through Explorica with 77 other kids from his school. Fact: Covid meant the trip was cancelled one week before departure to Spain. Fact: all students had travel insurance as required by Explorica. Fact: Seven months later not a single student has received their money back. Not a single refund. Explorica blames the insurance companies. Now Explorica has begun blocking parents to prevent them from messaging them on social media. Explorica denies all responsibility for this fiasco. They care nothing about the millions of dollars still owed to students. Not a single school in Canada should use these guys for a trip ever again.

If there was a zero star option I would choose it. My daughter was booked for a trip to Europe through Explorica that was cancelled due to COVID 7 months ago. Explorica refunded some of our $3600 but not all. We purchased insurance with Tripmate through Explorica. Tripmate transferred all claims to either Arch Insurance or Old World Insurance (no idea why?!) Now Explorica is fighting with Arch and Old World Insurance for who is responsible to pay out the rest of what is owed. There are over 3500 students across Canada waiting for refunds. Some families have received some money, some none at all. Assuming most trips cost between $3500-4000, we are talking about over $12 MILLION paid to Explorica that they have kept. My daughter scrimped and saved for a year to pay for part of her trip. This is a really tough life lesson to learn at the age of 15. Disgusting, shameful behaviour on behalf of all the companies involved. DO NOT BOOK A TRIP THROUGH EXPLORICA.
Explorica Canada - Trying to get our Refunds
School trip was cancelled due to covid, 6 months later 1100+ Canadians, 125 schools and counting, no return of the fees. The insurance company is blaming explorica, explorica is blaming the insurance company, and not one of them is trying to make it right with the kids and parents that paid hard earned money, money that could be used for post secondary education. Paper shuffle and blame game. Meanwhile this company is advertising NEW trips that are "guaranteed". Lies and deception, I feel that this company should be through doing business in Canada. I implore anyone considering using Explorica, or any Worldwide Strides company, to strongly reconsider. There are other companies that value Canadians.

Explorica won't be around for much longer, so you won't have the option to book with them. Millions of dollars need to be paid out. Seven months and waiting for a refund......
