Trip of a Lifetime to Italy

Ciao Andiamo worked with us to plan a trip of a lifetime to Italy. From beginning to end Jon and company were a pleasure to work with. After an initial conversation they sent us the first draft of an itinerary, including hotel options. Reading that first draft showed us that Jon had listened to our interests and understood who we were and what would work for us. Throughout the planning process our questions and ideas were responded to quickly and the itinerary continued to evolve based on our thoughts and feedback. They provided as much help as we wanted and didn't try to take over everything. The trip itself was even more fun than the planning process, and achieved a perfect balance of guided tours and time on our own . One person in our group has limited mobility and Jon made sure that all hotels, in addition to having elevators, were in great locations with easy access to great wanderings, attractions, restaurants and more. Our tours were led by friendly guides who knew their subjects, were great communicators and loved sharing their knowledge. Their guidance allowed us to experience local markets, major attractions like the Colosseum and the Uffizi and neighborhood streets in ways that would have been impossible either on our own or as part of a larger group. We would plan another trip with Ciao Andiamo without hesitation. My only regret is that they only focus on Italy - but they do that exceedingly well!

You're going to have to add more stars …

You're going to have to add more stars to the rating program because Ciao Andiamo and Max Brunelli deserve way more than 5 stars! My husband and I recently experienced the Taste of Umbria Adventure. I had hesitations in booking at first because my husband and I aren't "group" people per say. However, after speaking with Cecile (NYC office) not only did my hesitations disappear, I was beyond excited for this adventure. Leading up to the trip, Cecile did an amazing job of answering all of my questions and giving me all of the information that I will need for the trip. It's hard to put into words the actual tour experience itself. The flawless Umbria landscape, food, wine, and way of life combined with, and maybe even overshadowed by, the expertise and humor of Max Brunelli made this trip unforgettable. This wasn't a tour, it was an experience with a friend. Ok, now that I've gushed over our love for Max and the Umbria region, let's get real. If you like food, wine, history and experiencing vacation off the beaten path, this is for you. We felt like we were living like true Italians, not just any Italians but locals to the Umbria region (which are the best, right?) We learned to make cheese, pizza, bread; had a full cooking class, tasted some of the best wines we've ever experienced all while relaxing and taking in the most beautiful landscape. My husband and I can't say enough about Max. It would be almost impossible to truly experience this region without a guide, we just happen to have the best that there is. Maybe our senses of humor just meshed right away but we really felt like we were visiting a friend that was showing us their favorite places. To summarize, 5 stars aren't enough. Check our Max's facebook or Instagram to see what a vacation with him will be like, I'm willing to bet you'll book it right away. Not only did we have the best vacation of our lives but we gained a friend and are already planning our next trip back with Max...maybe a one way ticket this time :-)

If you go to Italy you must go with Max Brunelli and Ciao Andiamo..

My family and I have been on two trips with Ciao Andiamo and hope to return for a third. The team takes care of every single detail even dietary needs. Our son was diagnosed with celiac disease and we weren't sure if he could go to Italy due to his diet restriction. Max Brunelli co-owner of Ciao Andiamo told me that our son would "eat like a king" and he did. Every hotel had gluten free options and my son ate gluten free pasta almost every night. Max Brunelli makes the journey through Italy fun and eventful. His desire is for his guests to experience Italy like a local: he has a true heart for sharing Italy. If you are thinking about an Italy trip than I highly recommend you book with Ciao Andiamo.

Rome to Positano to Montefalco to Rome

Rome to Positano to Montefalco to Rome I cannot say enough about out tour with Ciao Andiamo! No detail was left out. From the beautiful hotel in Positano, to the tour of Capri and Pompeii to start our tour. Next we toured Rome and had the most wonderful hotel overlooking the Pantheon (don't skip the gelato). Then on to Montefalco and beautiful Umbria and Max. Max made us feel like family and we tasted the most amazing wines at Cordella, Dionogi and others great wineries. You WILL NOT be disappointed when you book your Italy tour with Ciao! Jonathon and Max really know how to treat their clients and give them all they desire from Italy. We are already planning our return trip with Ciao Andiamo next spring! See you then Max!

Amazing!!

Ciao Andiamo is absolutely amazing. They took care of everything, added and changed the itinerary to exactly what we wanted, created special moments and experiences and less on the touristy sites. They are unique and have used them many times and have passed them along with highest recommendations to my friends.

Amalfi Coast/Tuscany/Umbria

We traveled as a couple to Tuscany/Umbria and the Amalfi Coast with Ciao Andiamo last fall. The trip far exceeded any expectations we had. We like to travel a lot, and I was hesitant to let someone else take charge of planning our Italian adventure. In the planning process, Ciao Andiamo could not have been more attentive. They listened to our preferences and special requests, and crafted an unforgettable journey that was customized just for us. From the moment we arrived into Rome, everything was seamless. We did not have to think about one single detail and were ushered from one incredible experience to another. The accommodations at each stop were also top notch. The first portion of our trip was a private tour of Amalfi. Each driver, each guide, we had there were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also could not have been more friendly or personable. Our time on the Amalfi Coast was truly magical. Once back in Rome, we met up with a small group tour to travel to Tuscany/Umbria. Our top of the line guide, Max, insured we saw authentic Italy. He had a true passion for his country that was palpable. We travelled off the beaten path to small villages where we able to experience the culture of the region and truly made to feel like we were family. So much wine, incredible food, breathtaking scenery, and the most loveliest people. Ciao Andiamo allowed us to discover Italy in ways we never imagined possible. We will continue to use them any time we return to the country.

Our trip to langhe

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Piedmonte/Langhe region with Max from Ciao Andiamo as our host. We were immediately welcomed by him and made to feel comfortable and safe. Max is warm and friendly, knowledgeable and great at finding off the map locations. We visited vineyards, hunted for truffles, ate at the finest restaurants and enjoyed each other's company immensely. If you are lucky enough to have the pleasure of this experience I promise it will be the trip of a lifetime! The Cerchione family.

Travel like a local through this unique tour

Ciaoandiamo.com provide unique tours led by a local experts in Max Brunelli & Cristiana Chiacchierini. Don't expect a cookie cutter tours with them - every day is an adventure when you are on one of their tours. Their travel expertise is not only their specialty, but their passion. For even the most seasoned travelers, it can take weeks, even months, of building relationships and understanding a culture well enough to have an authentic experience. It is Max & Cristiana’s desire to bridge that gap to provide an instant connection for you while in Italy, so you can start experiencing the Italian way of life from day one of your journey. I first went on one of their tours almost 8 years ago and I continue to go back to Italy with them every year. Every year I bring a group of photographers and look forward to revisiting the treasures of Italy. They cannot help but impart their love for their culture and homeland, the "secret Italy," with those who have a deep appreciation to experience new places, old traditions and a beautiful countryside. It is more than their years of experience in touring the untouched parts of Italy that make their trips so remarkable.

Great experience in the Piedmont region of Italy

We had the great pleasure of having Max as our personal tour guide during our visit to the Piedmont region of Italy in November 2016- with a group of dear friends. Our experience was wonderful because of the expert planning done by Max. From our wonderful stay at a former castle to the winery tours, to truffle hunting and having exceptional meals, we couldn't have asked for anything more. In addition, Max made us feel as if we were family and it felt like we knew him always. We would absolutely recommend Ciao Andiamo Tours for anyone looking to experience a magnificent trip to Italy or anyplace else. We will certainly use Max for our next trip abroad.
