Good and helpful

I am the Operations Manager of an organisation. Moola made direct contact with our Payroll Officer to try and get her to deduct repayments for a supposed outstanding debt to them from an employee's wages. In New Zealand, it is illegal to make any deductions from an employee's wages without their specific permission which we did not have. Their email and documentation was very cleverly worded and our Payroll Officer almost got sucked in. Further, upon talking with the employee, I discovered that they were currently in dispute with Moola over the entire debt. I consider this unscrupulous and sneaky behaviour on their part. Unacceptable.
