We have used Stephens 3 times on various moves. The whole process of moving can be very stressful. Stephens take that stress away. We took advantage of their packing service which was excellent. All the staff we spoke to were exceptionally friendly, hardworking and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Based upon my experience I would avoid at all costs. Appalling customer service. We spent £8,741 with Stephens Removals and they damaged a desk with a value of £150. The desk was delivered into an outbuilding and untouched since the day of our move. When we went to move the desk we noticed it was damaged. So I contacted Stephen Removals for compensation. Rather than compensate us they accused us of lying and said they were unable to confirm they had caused the damage. We were prepared to sign sworn affidavits to verify no one had moved or even touched the desk since it was delivered by Stephens Removals. For me this is a point of principal and about doing the right thing. £150 out of a spend of £8,741 is not material and having lost my wife to cancer I would happily have donated the £150 to the hospice that cared for her. Stephen Removals were 100% adamant that they wished to retain all of my money for themselves and denied they caused the damage. Additionally, when I initially signed the contract with Stephens Removals I did not select the insurance option as I thought it probably would not pay out. I was virtually press ganged into taking out the insurance at a cost £517 against my judgment. My judgement was correct, the insurance did not pay out for the damage, nor did Stephens Removals. Damage was also caused to an expensive wardrobe and the door was refitted incorrectly. My dealings with Stephens Removals suggest that retaining all of your money is paramount once they have received it. Perhaps they rely on the fact that their service is not really a repeat purchase so don’t care whether or not you use them again?

I would like to thank Martin and Liam for loading yesterday and Martin and Joseph for unloading today after a horrendous journey brilliant service from these 3 men a credit to Stephens removals definitely recommended.

Arrived early and made the most stressful day a little easier very helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole process

The initial part of the move was good .unfortunately the last part moving into our new home was not. Our teams impatience to get thins done was not fair . This was because a second team turned up pushing to get things done as they also had a job go to to complete that day. Things were just dumped in the garden no thought had gone into how things were put including the house. It was basically hit and run . That said we still tipped each if our team £50 each

Thoroughly helpful and understanding staff were contacted on a Friday for a move that took place on the following Wednesday! With move into a brand new home there was some natural nervousness about protecting new carpets/fixtures/fittings etc. However, the care that the guys took with everything was exemplary… new carpets and flooring completely protected. Thank you Stephens for making a process that has the potential to prove stressful entirely less so.

Stephens helped us move house from St Albans to Nottingham and gave us a first class service throughout. Four young men packed for us the day before and three of them carried out the move on the day. Everything was done in the most professional and helpful way. A really good company. Highly recommended!

The folks from Stephens were really helpful, from the packing to the moving nothing was too much for them. They helped with everything to make what we were expecting to be a stressful day much easier. They were a credit to their employer.
