I found the paint easy to mix and easy to apply. The finishing cream top coat went on smoothly and quickly and dried to a very pleasant low luster. I love the rustic antique look!

Half and half is a fantastic product, easy to apply and looks great! I stripped (coat of paint and coat of varnish seemingly) and finished a dresser that’s at least 50 years old with it. Despite it being made of at least two kinds of wood, it looks beautiful finished with Half and Half!

This was my first experience using anything other than latex or acrylic paint and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t need to take breaks or air out the room because of fumes, the paint was easy to wash off my skin and a breeze to mix up the appropriate portions. To paint a horizontal dresser with drawers, I ordered a quart and a sample size to make some flecks for design. I sanded the dresser evenly with a 60 grit and wiped it down with a clean dry cloth, vacuumed it to get any excess dust and then wiped it again with a lightly soapy vinegar mixture and then wiped it again with a wet cloth and let dry. After painting, I still had a bit left of the quart for touch ups. I used the boar bristle brush from the website and purchased a foam roller for the wide flat surfaces. Make sure you have plenty of space to work so your pieces don’t touch eachother because until the paint is sealed, it can be scratched off easier. The dried texture of the paint is very matte/flat and a bit rough to the touch. I accidentally ordered a colored wax from the website and had to make an emergency run to Home Depot to get a clear furniture wax. I did research to make sure I wasn’t purchasing a stinky/harsh chemical wax and had a fairly easy time applying the wax. I used one full tin and bought another to make sure everything had an even amount as I was scraping the bottom of the first tin. The wax was soft and natural beeswax mixed with mineral oil with no odor. I buffed it on with a soft clean rag and it gave it a nice soft matte finish. Overall very easy to use and I would use it again in a heartbeat. I used the Tree Bark sample size for the flex and the quart size of the Cove Water Grey for the base coat.

I purchased the half and half. It’s a wonderful product. I used it to treat a Sho Sugi Ban project. I am contemplating trying the dark. But project money is tight right now

Received paint in powder form. Unexpected but not difficult to use. Mixed correctly it covers well and drying time is reasonable.

I made a coppertop table from floorboards from house renovation (built in 1890). Used the half and half product with Tung Oil and citrus spirits. Beautiful product. Really brings out the colors of the wood and blends beautifully. I have used this for nearly everything I'm making out of wood. The citrus is a nice smell. Free from harmful organic compounds. Would highly recommend this product.
