Fabulous auction house. I have both bought and sold from here. As far as valuations are concerned I highly recommend bringing your treasures and heirlooms along for appraisal. I have dealt in particular with Nathan (Senior Valuer) twice now and the knowledgeable but common sense, friendly approach should put any buyer or seller at ease. Great place.

We arrived on time for an appointment, and was Not kept waiting. We had a mixture of all sorts. They were polite and respectful even with the none valuables that we brought for them to value. A good knowledgeable team. Would definitely recommend.

This auction house listed a fine porcelain cup but omitted to mention it had a hairline crack and chip. On complaint, they said I should have commissioned a condition report. Most decent auction houses would mention and photo such issues. Not to do so, is in my opinion deceitful. For those who buy at auction a lot, it can be a very chore getting through to ask for condition reports and often they are not supplied. So i take this as short-hand for poor service, not least when you consider all the commission they charge to buyers and sellers. Disappointing to say the least.

won a couple of items. Nothing major , bulky or expensive. Didn't see the invoice attachment in the email. I called to pay and the guy I spoke to was downright, abrasive, unpleasant and rude. Asked for bank details to get it paid but he wanted to argue instead of just getting the job done. Bill was paid instantly when I hung up including postage. Not sure how he worked it out but the postage seemed excessive. Could have been sorted instantly with a bit of customer service and he would have kept a customer. Needless to say I've taken note and will not be using them again. Horrid attitude.

My first buying at auction. But saw some unusial plates I really wanted. I phoned before to find out how it works. I bid online (boy that auction is fast..!). Won them and then phoned to organise packing and payment. I'm totally impressed with the helpful and friendly staff and the technology that worked perfectly. They arrived superbly packed just now - Thank you to all!

I had a number of pieces of my late parents china collection, as it was items I was not wanting to keep, I comtacted Bill at Potteries’s Auctions. He came to see advised best course of action and the items went to auction and returned a much better value than we expected. All handled brilliantly the items need careful restoration and very positive experience all round was had

I was very impressed with the all-round professionalism of the company. Selling my items went very smoothly and efficiently. Everything that was sold went for the price (or higher) than the estimate that I was given. I was kept informed as to when the items were to appear at auction and the money magically appeared in my bank. I would recommend anyone is thinking of selling something in an auction to go through this company.

The transaction from beginning to end was first class. Very easy to arrange a telephone bid and the lady on the day was very clear and helpful. Having been successful payment was very easy and the postage was very reasonable and when the parcel arrived it was beautifully packed. It is about time more Auction houses provided their own pack and send service with UPS's excellent service arriving on time. Will use again if the opportunity arises.

A very positive experience. All queries prior to the sale answered quickly and with detail. No problems bidding online via Potteries Auctions own platform which also made it a bit cheaper! Excellent and simple to use invoice payment with various options given. Postage provided at a reasonable rate. We requested a tried and tested option which was changed without any problem. Excellent auction house who I will be using again and highly recommend to everyone.

Amazing,can’t fault the service,all worked like clockwork from bidding online,paying invoices.The postage and packing was very good value,pottery packed superbly and received in ultra quick time,if only all auction houses were as efficient.Well done
