I would avoid like the plague
I would avoid like the plague, their customer service is dreadful, I ordered a part then received no confirmation, emailed them and no response then called them and the conversation I had with the staff member was down right rude and very unhelpful. I will not be using them again and judging by their rating on trust pilot neither will loads of other people. Stick to other suppliers
hard to find air filter cover sourced by Godfreys
i needed an air filter cover for my stihl fs25-4 strimmer and i knew stihl no longer made them.Martin at Godfreys was able to source a genuine one for me from honda. and considering it came from japan, and with the hold ups around the world with parts it only took 10 days to come to my address.i would highly recommend Godfreys for finding me a part that only cost just under £20.a great effort thank you.steve
Poor Service!!!
We bought a 3 week old blower to Godfrey's to be looked at under warranty. Before they would even look at the blower they required £40 cash. They then proceeded to tell us the problem with the blower is that we had used stale fuel. We do not have fuel long enough to be stale and it doesn't stay in the machine long enough for this to become a problem. We retrieved the blower and took it to an independent company who cleaned the carburetor and the blower is now in full working order. The customer service provide by Godfrey's was appalling and we will not use them again! Avoid!

Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service. I ordered and paid for a part. The company supposedly sent me a text message to say it was ready for collection but I didn’t receive it. They didn’t attempt to telephone me and were quite offhand when I suggested that they could make a gesture in respect of their standard postage charge which was half the cost of the part ordered. I spoke with the owner who I found quite offensive. I definitely won’t be using this company again and would suggest that they should reconsider their attitude towards their customer service.
Great Parts Service
Martin sorted all the parts I needed to resolve the steering issues on my John Deere ride on mower. He checked the serial number and order the right parts, which arrived the next day. Top service! Thanks.
if your not a big spender, they don't care about you
I came to the store with the size of the part i wanted (a belt) and was pretty much dismissed as parts were not working today? could not even be bothered to get out the seat and come talk to me its shout from the desk they are behind. just surprised to see a member of staff in such a store not giving a dam.
Went back to collect a part
Went back to collect a part, which was forgotten. When i queried the different prices to shop and website I was told parts are at lunch and no one could help. The service I received was defiantly below standard. I left feeling ripped off. I would not recommend or purchase from them again.

Ruined my child’s present
Ruined my child’s present - Only A Masochist would buy from Godfrey’s bicycles - staff to be blamed for the bad experience. We purchased An Osprey BMX scooter from Godfreys Sevenoaks on Amazon in good faith that a big company like this will have a good quality assurance or at least decent and helpful staff. We read some previously left negative reviews but decided against them which we subsequently regret. The scooter arrived in a damaged cardboard box half hanging out of it to start with, half of the parts on display. I understand that this isn’t Godfrey’s fault, however, We spent a couple of hours to assemble it in time for the present for our child. Upon completion and inspection, we realised both the wheels are buckled severely and in order for anyone to ride this scooter, it would be deemed unsafe to do so with any brakes as we had to loosened the brakes to full for the wheels not to touch the brakes in three places in one revolution. We were very displeased as we had to tell the child that the scooter is there but can’t be used at the moment because of the negligence on Godfrey's part. We took the scooter to a local bicycle store to see how much would it cost to repair the wheels. They inspected and confirmed of the very damaged and buckled wheels. I reached out to Godfrey’s and was in touch with Steven, I offered to send a video of the damage to the wheels by email as Amazon wouldn’t allow to upload videos. I explained about how I have taken it to bicycle store and told him the cost it would incur to fix the wheels and also detailed of how much of a hassle it is to remove the wheels, arrange the brakes over and over again (not simple as it says in the advert) for an expensive and supposedly good quality scooter. Steven offered that he will send a pair of new replacement wheels and get the old ones collected which we assumed would be arrange efficiently with the couriers. I was given a timeframe of couriers for between 12:00 - 5:00 pm for which someone has to be available at home. The courier was there 10:00 am on the day saying he is there just for the collection, can’t drop the new wheels as that’s a different stop or something. This scooter had already caused so much hassle for the price that it’s getting frustrating. Now we’ve received a pair of new wheels in ginormous amount of packaging and lo and behold, the replacement are also buckled. I reached out to Steven again and explained how frustrating this whole experience is getting and how the replacement wheels are also buckled and now both, front and rare, brakes have to be loosened in order for wheel to freely spin and not touch the brakes repeatedly. Steven patently denied the fault and blamed it on the frame of the scooter saying that he personally inspected the wheels before sending them, however, when we received the replacement wheels, they still had plastic strings going around inside the packaged wheels which indicated that a close inspection for never made. Again, we offered to take it a local bicycle shop and for Godfrey’s to pay for the repairs to the new wheels as oppose to the offer from Steven to undo the wheels again, package them up, one adult to be home the whole day for the wheels to be collected and replaced. Needless to say I asked for the return of the whole unit as the frustration to deal with highly unhelpful, incompetent and ineffectual staff and a company of this size which expected a lot more from in cases any problem arises. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing from Godfrey’s unless you have most spare time in the world.
