Sale and purchase

Swiitch handled my sale and purchase in a way that impressed me. The team was proactive and knew what they were doing. My mind was put at ease each time I called. Email correspondence was prompt and no question seemed silly. My transaction was challenging in many ways but the team was calm and demonstrated that they were in control. I am so grateful for their perseverance and will certainly consider them in the future. Thank you so much to the whole team.

Fantastic

During the selling of our home and purchasing of the new house, Swiitch was very professional, helpful, and, most of all, contactable every time we needed updates or advice. We want to say a big thank you to the Swiitch team, but especially to Nicole Edwards for her great help.

Excellent from start to finish especially Oli!

Excellent from start to finish. I’d particularly like to thank Oli Haley who acted on our behalf. Can genuinely say he made it the most pleasant sale I’ve had. Very professional but very friendly with it and always there to answer any questions. Thank you!!

An Outstanding Conveyancing Service (2nd Time Around!)

This is the second time that we have used Swiitch (previously Shoosmiths) for the sale of my mother-in-law’s property. After a magnificent service the first time around in 2016, we had no hesitation in choosing Swiitch when the need came to manage the sale of her apartment. My mother-in-law is now 99 and in poor health in a care home with dementia so we were acting on her behalf under a power of attorney. Having moved her into care in the New Year, she started to deteriorate very quickly. It was clear that she was not going to go back into her apartment and we decided it was prudent to sell the property. We were lucky in finding a purchaser almost immediately but the one big concern was that unless we moved to exchange and completion very quickly, there was a strong chance that we would find ourselves caught in the probate trap in the middle of the sale process. As before, we made provisional arrangements with Swiitch and, as soon as a purchaser was found, a personal point of contact was allocated; on this occasion it was Rory McDermott who took the reins. In view of the urgency to avoid the probate trap, we put Rory under enormous pressure to move things on as fast as possible and Rory rose to the occasion brilliantly despite the fact that he had to deal with the purchaser’s very bureaucratic solicitors who didn’t seem to share our, or their client’s, sense of urgency. The great strength of Swiitch is the ease of contact – so much better than many local solicitors. Rory kept us fully informed of progress, responded very quickly to e-mails and was immediately contactable by telephone if needed. The other great strength of Swiitch is the back-up on the rare occasions should the first point of contact be unavailable; if someone else has to stand in, then the excellent office recording processes ensured that our queries could be addressed without delay. This was clearly demonstrated when Rory went on leave just before exchange and completion. His Senior Paralegal colleague, Oli Haley, backed by Maryam Arif, Conveyancing Manager, stepped in and we achieved exchange and completion on the same day at the end of the week before Rory got back from leave. This is conveyancing services at their best. My mother-in -law is currently still with us but we are very relieved to have removed this one obstacle in the probate process – an organisation that appears to be in terminal decline. Thank you Swiitch and Rory in particular, for yet another superb performance.

Highly recommended

We had a very good experience with Swiitch whilst selling my parents-in-laws house. Connor O'Dell and Lydia Dowsett were both very efficient and responsive. I've bought and sold quite a few properties and Connor and Lydia were amongst the best solicitors I've worked with. Thanks both.

I had a very positive experience…

I had a very positive experience working with Swiitch Solicitors to acquire my property. Everyone that I engaged with from reception to my solicitor Anma Khan, was extremely professional. There was a tight deadline imposed by the auction company and this was met without compromising my interest. I was kept updated and all questions were answered and I was afforded the time that I needed. I definitely would really Swiitch Solicitors to anyone buying a property.
