They're Good If You Can Get Them To Come Out

Fluent Home is a little better than their partner, Fluent Solar. Getting them to come out and install their portion took months, with repeated texts and phone calls to get service. The techs were super nice and accommodating once they finally came out. The equipment is pretty cool (the monitoring panel has rotating scenery which is really pretty). How they will respond in an emergency, who knows.

Horrible company

Horrible company. I would not do business with them. They do not install the equipment, and there is no follow-up. Even when they will miss appointments, they will not tell you. The installation was unprofessional the customer service was unprofessional. Like their other company, Fluent Solar, Fluent Home is run by the same people and just as dysfunctional.

Very poor customer service

Returned from hospital inpatient to alarm beeping every 4-4 minutes. Called service and was told they could not do anything remotely to disconnect plug to delete battery it would take 8 hours for this to happen. After 8 hours it continues. Called again and was told it would take 24 hours. After very little sleep due to beeping and surgical pain called again. I’m told I need tech to come to home at a cost of $250 prepaid. I feel held hostage to their inability to turn off panel or fix it remotely. Constantly told that is the contact which is not appreciated when I am trying to cope with with post surgery pain and lack of sleep. Customer service is now another 24 hours before it can be resolved even when I asked for technician to come today. There was nothing understanding on their part only repeating the contract. Very poor customer service and understanding what it’s like for be medically compromised and listening to constant beeps every 3/4 minutes. Think about using this company

I am trying to NOT renew my home alarm services which I have not used for 2 years and I have been honouring my contract. Until now I have called, send emails, and I have not been able to cancel . Very bad customers services. My request is ignored.

Fluent has been great at giving me peace of mind while I’m away. I can give codes to my cleaner to access my home, or close the garage when I forget to. Their support team is friendly and always willing to help.

No communication between Fluent and API

I stopped using Fluent's sensors and useless doorbell camera in April 2021 and installed the Vivint system I had in my house in Edmonton. I truly believed my Fluent contract ended in September 2022. Nope, auto renewed. Cancelled but still had to pay for November. Got billed for Dec and Jan by API and managed to get full refunds for the two months. Today I get a threatening letter from Fluent for a system that has been physically removed for two years. API knows I cancelled, why doesn't Fluent?

Avoid at all costs!

I've only dealt with two home security companies, so I can't really compare this one to others. However, this has to be among the worst. I have had nothing but trouble with the system and, while the people with whom I've been emailing are courteous, they haven't done anything to help me resolve the situation. My system hasn't worked properly for several months, and while I can't get anyone to fix it, I am bound by a contract (a contract that only I have to honor; they don't) to continue to pay for it. If you are looking for a company to provide security services DON'T even consider this one. You will be soooooo disappointed.
