I CALLED THEM 3 TIMES TO CANCEL ASKED WHAT I HAD TO DO .TOLD WAS TAKEN CARE OF I STOPPED PAYMENTS AT BANK TO MAKE SURE .CONTACTED THAT OWE PAYMENT I CALLED THEY SAID OH HAVE TO SEND LETTER OH OK BuT WHY WASNT I WAS TOLD SENT LETTER WANTED 2 MORE PAYMENTS...TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO IVAN WAS XCALLED A ARROGENT B...h AND HUNG UP ON .THEN SPOKE TO JOSEPH AGAIN TOLD YR GOING TO COLLECTIONS .AND WHEN YOU ASK AT ANY TIME TO SPEAK TO SUPERVISOR .OH I AM NO ONE ELSE HIGHER.REALLY..... WELL MR GRAMHAM WOODS WHO IS THE CEO OF THIS COMPANY .YOUR COMPANY SUCKS YOUR "SUPERVISORS" ARE RUDE...the rest of my family will be removing you and I am going to sing it from the highest hill ...and to the Canadian Better Business Breau.To the Canadian AUDITOR General...im a disabled woman who will fight to have you removed from Canada and stop ripping people off
Fluent in any language translates to "Junk!"
Let me start off by saying that I give Fluent a 1-star because I cannot give them a negative-star rating. One day the Fluent guy came knocking on my door with a better deal than I was getting with my provider at the time. We spent over an hour going over the details and how they would "buy me out of my old contract." Well, after the install, I was not bought out of the old contract. When I called the salesman to find out what was going on, guess what? You got it, he was no longer there. It took over 2 months to get that all straightened out. Then several months later my doorbell camera stopped working. I called and after being on hold (and that's the way they do business...put you on hold for hours) I finally got to someone who ended up sending me a new doorbell, which I had to install myself to avoid a huge service charge. I packed up the bad doorbell and put it in the UPS box they sent me and it of course got lost in transit (more like they just can't find it because they are incompetent). I have talked to no less than 5 different people at Fluent that have told me, "It is all taken care of" and not to worry. Today I attempt to access my camera and I have a message from Fluent that I need to call. So, I do. After being on hold for another eternity, finally someone answers and tells me my account has not been paid due to not returning the broken doorbell. Now I'm very upset. I tell the woman exactly what has happened and to look at my file and she can see ALL the records of this action. She tells me she can see that but "this is another department." What? What a bunch of criminally, incompetent people! I wish I had never changed companies. Horrible service! Lousy customer relations! Even their "hold" music stinks! Do not...I REPEAT...DO NOT use this company! RUN for any company that is based locally to you but avoid Fluent Home Security at all costs! So here I sit on a holiday weekend with NO SERVICE because "there is no one in the retention department over the weekend and they will call me." Does anyone know a good lawyer that handles these kinds of things? UPDATE: So, on 10/17/2022 I got a response from Fluent about all the above. In it they said, "Is there anything we could do to make it better? Please call us at (855) 238-4826!" I dialed that number and got their automated phone answering service (again) that keeps you on hold for an eternity. You see, they are not there to provide good service, just take your money. Still a very unsatisfied customer stuck in a contract I cannot get out of right now.
Fluent is a garbage company
Fluent is the worst company I have ever interacted with. We originally signed a contract with AlarmTek which was bought out by Fluent about a year into our contract. Nobody told us - we had no notification that the contract was now held by Fluent. When our contract was up, we attempted to cancel but it's not as simple as contacting them. You have to send a signed letter by registered mail or fax (who still has a fax machine in 2022??). We missed the deadline by about two weeks and are now stuck with an additional two years of "service". We only found out that Fluent has the contract because a sensor failed and needed to be fixed. When the service tech came (can't fault the service guy - he was helpful and professional), we found out that we have not had active monitoring for the previous 2 years of our contract because of an internet upgrade to fibre optic. So our system basically went offline for over two years and nobody "monitoring" it from Fluent thought that was a problem. Wrap yourself in that fuzzy blanket of security - they were not only not monitoring the system but they ignored the fact that there was no response to their supposed monthly tests (it's in the contract that they do that). So if you cut the line going to a Fluent security system the monitoring will never know. At least they allowed us the privilege of paying over $1200 for their useless monitoring service. Fluent doesn't deserve the one star minimum for this review. For as long as I am able to speak, write, or pantomime I will actively encourage anyone and everyone to avoid Fluent. I look forward to a Fluent troll responding with something like "we are sorry your experience has not been so wonderful you want to name your next child Fluent. Call us at whatever number and we will make all your bad dreams go away". Been there already - not willing to repeat. Instead, I'm going to buy a fax machine just to send you my cancellation letter and offer a free fax service to all Fluent customers to send in their own letters.

Do not use this company!! Trying to cancel with them is tricky!! We sent them an email, requested cancellation through their on line service, called several times, finally got a supervisor only to tell us we needed to send a written letter with a signature. Not only that, they billed us for an additional two months!! We fulfilled our commitment to them, at least they could be able to handle cancellations in a more time sensitive manor. I do not recommend using them!!
SCAM!
For months I have called about my Fluent security about the update on the monitor. I was told I was under contract. What-no way. We were out of a contract for 3 or 4 years. When talking to the agent they said to get the update for 3g would be $150.00 or sign to be put back under contract. I have told them we were not in any contract and ask for a call back. Of course no call back. Again, I called a few months back and was told we were under contract until this summer 2022. I repeated to them I did not sign any new contract and asked again to be called back. No call back from Fluent security. Friday August 19, 2022, I called back to asked about update and report a problem that my monitor that it did not inform us about power outage. The person said we were under contract until 2024. No way. I asked to speak to a supervisor while not getting anywhere. Over and over I was placed on hold. I told them it is fraud and asked to see the contract I was suppose to have signed. This is so wrong and this man treated me like I did not know anything and that they have a recording. I repeated telling them that I did not and please send me a copy of contract. This company is a fraud and scamming people. Is there anything I can do? I am willing to go to court or maybe get in a class action suit. How can Fluent security scamming folks? I give Fluent security a 0 rating for scamming me and not telling the truth but I had to put a 1. P.s. Last year I tried to get a security paper for my home owners insurance and was told they could not send or fax anything due to covid because the disease would be past through to phone lines...My insurance company laughed about these folks. SHAME ON FLUENT SECURITY!
Getting beyond customer service by…
Getting beyond customer service by phone is ridiculously difficult. After multiple attempts to discontinue the contract before it would automatically renew, I finally was given a contact phone number. They requested a WRITTEN request to cancel that I sent electronically and by mail. They did not respond and continue to collect funds. Since the system is unfunctional, I look forward to dealing with their customer service (NOT)!
Totally Ripped Off by Fluent!
I have to say I am pretty upset to find out several things about Fluent. My previous service, I paid for all the equipment up front and then paid about $76 a month for 5 years. I understand the new home owners, who took over the service using the equipment I paid for, are paying about $40 a month. The new service offered to us was an unreasonable amount but at about $76 a month I could finance it, or pay up front and pay about $50 a month. Your loyalty offer was an insult. So my question here is what was I paying for at my original service of +$76 a month for 5 years after paying for all the install and equipment up front? I feel I was ripped off for about $2000! The service I have now contracted, due to loyalty, is at absolutely no equipment cost, for more service than Fluent offered, and $45 a month, with no installation fee and 4 months free service. I have another house I planned to arrange service for that will not be Fluent either, plus had recommended several others too and will now be telling my story to. Reviews pack a punch and I intend to tell my story there too.

They try to keep you from canceling their crappy service. Never, ever use this service. You might never get rid of them. They are like the plague.
Alarm system that only goes off in the…
Alarm system that only goes off in the middle of the night for no reason and told to unplug it from the wall and unplug the battery. It's been 4 months and still no repair person scheduled to fix and remains unplugged. Tried cancelling service because my father passed away and got an email address to send his death certificate to the doesn't exist. And his bill is being threatened to be sent to collections.
