Travelteer volunteering

For my experience I did the coast to coast tour first, now 1 week left of my 4 weeks volunteering. I would highly recommend doing the tour first as part of the experience as it really does help when arriving at the travelteer house where there could be 50 people all in the house so having the friends you make on tour with you makes it less overwhelming and easier to settle in. For the tour itself we had such a great time and saw so many amazing things with the sweetest and kindest tour coordinator Camila she's such a treasure and so much fun and really looked after us. For the tt house part of the experience, it can be overwhelming at first when arriving at the house with so many new people all living together so allow yourself a week to feel settled in. We have amazing coordinators like Bernadette (Bernie) who look after you at the house and does an outstanding job of making sure everyone is happy and comfortable, she has such high integrity and balances fun and professional beautifully. For the volunteering experience the marine and wildlife conservation programme has been a truly wonderful life changing experience with my highest recommendations. Led by Anoma who I cannot thank enough for our experiences. He truly cares and has such passion for the conservation work in Sri Lanka, his depth of knowledge and dedication is truly inspiring, he goes out of his way to make sure every single volunteer gets the chance to experience all the best parts of the programme. Thank you everyone at travelteer for the memories I will treasure for a lifetime, I'm truly grateful and have so much love and respect for you all.

Travelteer’s Community Development…

Travelteer’s Community Development programme in Nepal was an amazing journey and experience. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching, helping in projects and making a difference in remote Nepali communities. I highly recommend Nepal to anybody considering volunteering with Travelteer. The locals and the Travelteer team are both incredibly friendly and welcoming and the country is beautiful. Do consider applying! :)

It was a learning opportunity

It was an interesting opportunity where I got to see the country as it is. We had plenty of free time and diversity in our program. Sometimes it felt more like learning than volunteering but this is not necessarily a bad thing but I wanted to feel like I was actually helping the community more than I did. Overall, I had a good experience and I enjoyed my staying there, especially because of the staff. One of the members of the staff that made my days a lot better there was Camila. She was always there for a good laugh and was there to help and listen to everything we needed to make our experience a lot better.

One of the most amazing three weeks of my life!

One of the most amazing three weeks of my life!! I did the coast to coast tour in Sri Lanka with the coordinator Camilla and she was amazing not only making sure everything went well but she is also a wonderful woman at the same time and was so easy to get along with. After a week of the tour I did 2 weeks of volunteering, one on marine and wildlife conservation with anoma and the other on English with dilanka and both were amazing coordinators and amazing programs. The travelteer house was nice and hansi and rushi were even nicer who took care of everything there. Thanks to everyone who made my experience so amazing 🫶🏻

Life changing experience

Loved my experience at Travelteer on the English development programme. Amazing time that was made even better by the coordinators, the English coordinator, Delanca was incredible. The medical coordinator, Bernie, even though she wasn’t my coordinator, was still amazing, making everyone feel involved and loved and really bringing together the little family that you make at Travelteer. Hansi is an absolute gem, camilla, the tour coordinator was fabulous for our tour, couldn’t have asked for a better guide. And Ruchi the house manager was incredible, putting a smile on everyone’s face, working at 100 Mph just to make sure everyone was happy. The entire team are perfect, genuinely going to miss all of them.

Great and lots of fun

I was on tour for a week and have been staying for the last two weeks and have 3 weeks left here, and I’ve enjoy almost all of it. It has been an incredible experience and Camila and Bernie couldn’t be more supportive, fun and amazing. I’m thoroughly enjoying my time here and I’m more than glad that I came.

Incredibly supportive

The UK based staff are very supportive, especially Noah, they are constantly available and working to help you by providing information and insight to their programmes. They are very helpful and it makes for an easy process.
