Im happy with tank but it was much easier welding a fitting on fill tube then installing your plastic tee.

2012 Tundra tank fit perfectly, with only one hole to drill to mount the canister, other than that it worked exactly as I was told. Customer service on the phone was very knowledgeable of exactly what I needed, steel tanks not plastic very well built

To Whom It May Concern, All comments are concerning the information that came with the 40 gallon refueling tank. My vehicle is a 2021 Ford F-150. I ordered and received the TF 40 gallon gas/diesel refueling tank. Packaging was superb, and it was delivered on a pallet! All was as expected, or better, in terms of quality of the tank and hardware. After getting a $500.00 install estimate from Meiters, LLC in Beaver Falls, PA, I chose to do the install myself. I made a paper template of the bottom of the tank and marked the mounting locations. Next, I placed the tank in that location to see if everything was correct. Then I drilled pilot holes in that location. This is the common location as described in the only available video for this tank. Two bolts would go through the hat channel and two through the bed. Access to those locations was near impossible. Turning a wrench at any of them was impossible. Even getting the washers and bolts in through the bottom was a nightmare. I had to have my wife go under the truck while I shined a light through the holes. At that, it was mostly by touch. I decided to use thin jam nuts over the bolts, then place the tank over them. I made spaces so the jam nuts would not draw against the bottom of the mounting flanges. The spacers were made from pieces of a retired conveyor belt. The rest of the work was pretty straight forward. The tank is installed and in service. Here are some questions: How does one clean out the take before use? To maintain the permit, the tank must be drained, removed, and tested every 2.5 years. This seems ridiculous. At that point, I will be 70! What will the cost be to have that done? It will be unreasonable, I’m sure. How does a nonprofessional pressurize the tank to check for leaks? Since 2017 the F-150 has been all aluminum. I added some stainless to reinforce the aluminum bed. Have you considered a potential problem with this? Filtration does not seem to be optional. I own several diesel tanks with filters, they are too big. You should come up with cleaner solution. Perhaps a pre filter strainer is a solution. We are rooting for American companies like yours. I just needed to express how difficult this installation was. I don’t think there are enough specifics in the instructions or video. Also, people should know how expensive an installation can be. I am no stranger to doing this kind of work. I maintain multiple tractors and various pieces of equipment. Please consider this tough love. Rich
