I have been trying to get a call back…

I have been trying to get a call back for two to three weeks as I want confirmation of when my contract ends. as then I want to run from this company so far I was told it was October ring in September then January and so on. I apparently still owe money how after four years! I rang all day today and no reply. I got several calls though when they wanted to update my system, us was told you better do something! Plus the cameras and app are awful when they work.

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money with this company. My mum had her house set up with their "monitored" alarm system. Her neighbour had to notify her to the fact that her house had been burgled during lockdown. The police attended and secured the building. Not once did anyone attend from the security company. When my mum contacted them to find out what had happened the call handler said they had notified the third party company they use for security guards. It was a kind of shrug and "well we did our bit" attitude. Since the incident various attempts have been made to contact the company to find out what went wrong and take up the guarantee of insurance excess being covered in the event of a burglary, but after promises that she'll be contacted and assurances that her requests were in hand, we are still no further forwards 9 months on. Absolutely shocking company, don't give them a penny of your hard earned money. Update 11th January 2023, as stated in the review we have made contact innumerable times. Noone is interested. Don't believe the disingenuous response

Never will I ever have them again.

Just been reading Chris Lawrence review and its similar to my case, been in touch with trading standard only for bull dog to promise to refund my money but up to now nothing has happened. I wonder how many people have been mistreated with bull dog who pass you to omni without your consent. We will be taking this further. Anybody thinking of using this company, just know, as sweet as they sound and try to have your contract renewed early, they are not the best.

Promises they couldn’t or wouldn’t keep.

I was recently called by Tom at Bulldog about renewing my contract. He was very amenable at first, agreeing to ring me back when I had had time to get ready for the call. When the call started, Tom began a long diatribe against travellers and how it would not be the travellers living in my area that would target me but travellers from many miles away who would have been tipped off by those living locally to me. Eventually, he moved to pricing and started at £4600 before attempting to blind me with discounts for loyalty etc. etc. I managed to get a word in and asked him to cut to the chase and give me the bottom line. I was then quoted £3400 and I said I could not afford this. Tom then said I needed to pay some money with my card over the phone and arrange for the remainder on credit. I said, ‘just hold on a minute, I haven’t agreed to renew yet and I need to think this over and talk to my family about it.’ Immediately, Tom came back with, ‘we can only hold these discounts for so long.’ I then told him to stuff his contract and his discounts where the sun don’t shine and rang off. He persisted in ringing me for several minutes before finally sending a grovelling text message. I only signed up in the first place because I was vulnerable and quite frankly was given the exact same hard sell, the salesman at that time gathering up his materials and saying ‘if you can’t afford it, why did you waste my time? I was promised fast response with a guard never being more than eleven miles or less than half an hour away. The first time I needed assistance I was on the floor early two hours and if a friend hadn’t called, the guard would not have managed to lift me as he was built on the lines of a budgerigar. The second time, I was told that I could not have assistance for medical reasons and was left to call an ambulance. The monitoring is very good but the response to actual need for help is virtually non-existent. Bulldog make promises they don’t have a hope of fulfilling and use bullying tactics to make vulnerable elderly people sign for their very, very limited services.

Be ware of Bulldog security and Omnis scammers

We have been with this firm 8 years, they are a total scum, they convince you to renew a year earlier than the contract says, then they transfer you to Omni without your knowledge or any formal letter. In addition to that, they still take your £30 amonth and Omni takes £30 a month too, meaning you are paying two companies for the same service. Trying to call them for help to resolve anything is a waste of space as we have tried for the last 6 months. When we said we want to cancel, they turn around and say the cancellation period expired so you will not get your money back. It is a shame we have such scammers allowed to operate and swindle poor citizens off their hard earned cash especially during this covid period. We have now decided to take with trading standard to help stop this happening to anyone else.

Lack of response to countless calls.

I have a Bulldog Security system which needed a service as lockdown was enforced. Now we are out of lockdown I have tried to contact them countless times and cannot get through, phone message keeps saying not available. Lack of information and no return call form my countless left messages. Poor performance.

The monitoring service is good...BUT!!!

The monitoring service is good.... but if you have problems with your alarm system then Bulldog are virtually impossible to contact! I have left voice mails and sent messages via their own on-line service without any reply. So now what do I do.....????
